When my daughter purchased a ring fro Fuego/Attic Salt on January 5, 2020 and found it didn't fit right, she tried to return it on the same day. Lina, the obese store manager refused to refund her card and claimed she could only get store credit or do an even exchange.
I phoned the coroporate office a few days later and spoke with Denise who said she would phone the store and give them permission to issue a refund. However, when I went to the store on Jan 15, 2020 for the refund, the same fat manager denied being able to issue a refund because it was on a Visa gift card & she stuck to the exchnage or store credit crap.
MOST stores make certain customers are aware of their policy BEFORE customers make purchases especially with a gift card or &/or have signs at the register to avoid such incidents. This store didn't do any of those things because they're so desperate for any penny they get! Their receipt specifically states the following:
"We will be pleased to issue a refund on merchandise purchased within 30 days provided you have a receipt. Refunds will be credited using the EXACT SAME METHOD of payment as the purchase.
For merchandise purchased more than 30 days ago, or without the receipt, we will issue exchange only (not a refund.) Merchandise exchanged without a receipt, will be credited for the current retail value. Refunds for cash purchase over $200 will need to be issued by check from our home office. For all refunds and exchanges, merchandise must be unopened and salable condition.
All pierced jewelry and discount merchandise sales final." I contacted Gloria R at their corporate office at 1:26 PM on this day of Jan 30, 2020 and she suggested that I email a copy of the receipt to her and said that she would issue a refund to the card. At 2:33 she responded with another lie and claimed she couldn't refund the card!
I can see why Attic Salt had to relocate to a part of the mall that doesn't get much foot traffic. They're highly unprofessional and don't bother to inform customers of their store policy because they're so desperate to rip people off just to line their pockets! This store can be expected to go out of business just like a number of others that used to be in that mall!
