I purchased 2 knee-length jackets, when I arrived home I saw that there were 2 black marks on one of them. It was too late for me to return as the store was closed. The following day (today) after church I returned to the store. I thought that I would have been able to get another in the same size. When I placed the new one on the counter the manager asked me if there were others with a mark on them.
I told him that it was not my job to look at all of the other jackets I am complaining and that should be the job of someone in the store. He went over to the rack, then quickly returned to the counter. I asked him if he saw any others, he told me no. I went over and looked for myself and skimmed through not seeing any other and so what?? The one I picked up could have been the only. The marks looked like they were made by a marker. It could have been there from a worker when opening up the box.
The bottom line is that I have an item that I purchased for $15 that I cannot wear.
An argument ensued because he told me that I did not know how to speak to people because I told him that it is not my job to look through the rest of the garments. He refused to make a swap, I told him you can send it back to the shipper. I also told him that I owned a store years ago and if an item came from the manufacturer or supplier damaged it would be replaced. He would not hear any of what I said. In addition, I visited Pretty Girl a few weeks ago and the very same manager was involved in an argument with a customer about incorrect prices on 2 of the same items.
Good customer service is essential. I will never purchase from that store and I am stuck with an item that I cannot wear. This is not fair!!
