Shop LC Bad Business Practices, Decieving customers.
I have always been a loyal customer and given my business to Liquidation Channel for several years. I have spent thousands of dollars on Jewelry over the years. When the jewelry is in nice condition and you know what to purchase. It really is nice and priced quite well. Shipping is expensive at 2.99 for each item or the value bundle at $29.99 could do better with flat rate. My problem of late is, Shop LC that stands for LOW COST has sadly changed and so has the service! Since they went from Liquidation Channel to Shop LC. The rising auction is not returnable, unless it is defective or damaged. What about just plain old cruddy workmanship, bad silver work, not even sure if some of the items are really silver, they feel and look like alloy covered with some kind of weird white colored plastic. Poor colored and cracked stones, sometimes no color, looks like bubble gum machine rings. What is defective to you is not defective to them. Some items should have never left the warehouse. As soon as I open the package I see damaged stones. I have really good vision, but you would have to be blind to not see some of the glaringly flawed cracked stones, broken necklaces, tangle chains, etc....I have had to fight tooth and nail for returns and shipping fees on several items returned "in the same package". They said it wasn’t defective, charged me 25% restocking fee and $6.49 for each individual item they didn't think was defective. Even though I was sending about a dozen broken or defective items back. I started taking photos of the jewelry that has to be returned. I've written letters that they need to take these broken pieces out of rotation to save the next unsuspecting customer the frustration I have been experiencing. They don't care, I will see the same item I returned and it will be on rising auction within a week of my return. I feel bad for the next customer. They just keep rotating through different customers hands. They don’t give you an email like other companies that say we have received your return and are processing it and here are the details and amount that has been returned to your credit card. Weeks can go by and you still can’t get any information about the processing, back to your credit card. By that time" dementia has set in"....You get laughed at, hung up on, put on hold while they read the notes. Act like they care, but like one customer service had the honesty to say was they don't care. it's all about getting NEW customers not taking care of the ones they have. "they're already hooked"
The straw that finally broke the camel's back for me, was, when I woke up in the middle of the night and saw my name all over the rising auction in the Bali Legacy Collection. My favorite place to shop.
An employee or employees accessing my account and bidding on my own item against me. Using my NAME in the middle of the night bid to increase sales. IF YOU BID ON ANYTHING ON JUNE 21, 2017 from 3:00 am to 6:00 am and CJ was bidding against you. IT WAS NOT ME..... They're stirring up the bids when there is a lag in the bidding by using other people's names to increase the sales. Caught them twice in the middle of the night in the past 30 days. May 17th and June 21st. Sneaky, Sneaky business practices. Instead of the company trying to help the customer and find these rats and get rid of these employees. They hang up on you when you call to complain. They close your account and give you the run around. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! NO MANAGERS ON DUTY TO SPEAK TO. JUST A BUNCH OF PEOPLE THAT DON'T HAVE ANY ACCOUNTABILITY TO MANAGEMENT. TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT. Treat the customers like they are doing them a favor instead of the other way around and keeping them employed. We stupid shoppers keep this company in business. I will not be giving this company anymore of my hard earned money. Maybe if they saw a large decrease in sales and bidding on rising auction. Even one day! Maybe they would get the message that we want better customer service. No sneaky shady business practices and then this company may start to get the message, if their sales start to go in the toilet. Where some of their jewelry should go.
Use due diligence when buying from them. They use deceptive acts to get you to bid or buy their jewelry. $1.00 rising auctions. Est retail value of $499.99 = actual value of $49.99. A $69.00 est value = actual value of $9.99. They put these sky high retail values on their jewelry to dupe you into thinking your getting a good deal. I see it every day. A nice looking piece of jewelry has an est. retail value of 499.99. Bidding starts at $1.00. Most of the time bidding will go over $100.00 on these pieces and buyers dont know they they can buy it straight out from the same place for$49.99. Everything in there auction can be bought from them for less than what your probably bidding on it. 95% of "Platinum over sterling silver" pieces are not silver. They are a silver plated alloy. Gems are usually not real. I bought an Australian Boulder Opal sterling silver ring. The "Opal" turn out to be a piece of hardened plastic with glitter inside. Garnets and other gemstones are usually glass or rhinestone. Returns? You can return it and they even send you return postage with your order but they will deduct $10.00 or more from your refund and sometimes will only give you a store credit. There is a pending class action lawsuit against them for deceptive trade practices.
I bought alot of jewelry from Shoplc. Ive only shopped there for approximately 2 1/2 months. Some of their jewelry was fine but, I received a few damaged & fake gemstones December, 2020. I returned the two fake gemstones & the company refused to refund me!
I spent alot of money on some decent jewelry but, I'm a long time collector & will not keep fake gemstones. Isn't it illegal to advertise an item as Natural & it is NOT? Beware of the auction they have!! Shoplc
I will never shop there again. They claim that with every purchase you feed a hungry child. Shame on these scammers!

I was a bit hesitant to order because they don't allow refunds for items under $200 but I thought I'd take a chance because everything was so beautiful on tv with dirt cheap prices. I ordered but changed my mind the next day because I had a bad feeling about it. When I contacted customer service via e-mail, they said they don"t cancel orders. I couldn't get my money back even though nothing had shipped out to me. They basically told me my order was coming regardless and I had to keep everything. ???
So I was stuck with the items. I ordered 2 necklaces supposed to be stainless steel with gold overlay. They were NOT! They were tarnished, cheap, old and flimsy. I've seen better at the dollar store and I couldn't believe they charged me $12.99 a piece with $3.00 shipping each although all items were sent in same package.
I also order a necklace supposed to be made of real shell but was some cheap plastic material for shells that were strung together with regular sewing thread. AWFUL!!
They don't have a physical address. When u call customer service, a recording always say that you have a wait time of 20 minutes or more. I think they try to discourage you into hangining up so they don't have to deal with the complaints. You can only contact them via e-mail and cross your fingers for a response. Good luck with that. They only post good comments from a handful of customers on their website and there is no place to leave a review. They good comments must be made up by the staff because I can't imagine aanyone being satisfied with the merchandise.
The cable companies should not allow Liquidation Channel to sell to the unsuspecting public like this. Isn't what thet're doing against the law? They show you beautiful products on tv and online but that is NOT what you get. It's false advertising. So beware if you plan on buying because you are NOT going to get what you think you will and you WON'T get a refund. I'm sure all their customers are first time buyers only who will never shop there again. In Texas, it's channel 399.
I ordered 4 N95 face masks from LIVE TV on April 2. I received a confirmation email, and saw that the order was online in my account.
On 4/7/20 I chatted with Shop LC for a status. I was told I would receive the items within 5-7 days of my order date.
On 4/9/20 I contacted SHOP LC CHAT for a status. An employee told me that the order was not processed so he cancelled it and gave me a refund. I went back and forth with him on CHAT for 1/2 hour, telling him that I wanted my order processed, not cancelled since the masks were for a life and death situation. He did nothing to correct the situation except repeating that he cancelled my order and there was nothing he could do about it. Due to the Covid19 circumstances and the need for these N95 masks, I became very angry and frustrated.
I called the customer service line and a lady took pity on me and claimed to fix the problem. She placed another order for me, with free shipping, and told me I would receive the masks in 3 days.
The entire time I was on the phone with the lady, the CHAT person kept telling me that he cancelled my order and gave me a refund. He never offered any other information or solutions.
Today is 4/13/20 and no masks have arrived. I think Shop LC oversold and won't admit it. During a time of national crisis, they are taking advantage of people, charging $6.99 for a $1.00 mask, and then not fulfilling the orders.
I have been using this company for about a year. I purchase gifts all year for different occasions. My last three transactions have been treated poorly. There was a 25% discount on their website. I complained and received a terse response stating that the discount expired. I told them to look at their website. No resolution on that occasion. Since then, I have made 2 additional purchases involving several items. On both occasions, shop lc customer service and the personal shopper have not been able to retrieve the orders and then hang up on me. That happened again today and I called a second time. The shop lc person again cannot find my order (they say) and vow to find a way to fix the problem. Today, I sat on hold for 1 hour and 9 minutes. These people are crooks and should be put out of business.
Do your homework before buying. Before Liquidation Channel became Shop LC, I bought quite a bit of jewelry & was rarely unhappy with the purchase...if I was it was mostly because I did not look close enough at what I was buying. The shipping back than was $1.99, it was later raised to $2.99 which is high if you buy multiple items. Since it has become Shop LC, I am not as satisfied. Some of the dissatisfaction may come from me doing my homework...an example would be I bought 3 watches through the auction for $2 each...$8.97 shipping added. 2 of watches need to be adjusted & cannot be done without taking to jeweler & paying $7.50...and he is a cheap jeweler. The 3rd watch had a supposedly leather band & I thought "Great, no adjustment needed"...the pieces that hold the band together all fell off when I tried to put it on, meaning I either need to buy a new band or throw the watch. I also bought many rings when it was Liq. Chan. & was always happy, now the rings are not as good a quality. As for necklaces, I bought them & gave as gifts...some had rough stones & could not be worn without the recipient getting cut on the neck, while others were great & I reordered. As the first line says, do your homework. Shop LC should ask for more reviews on their items so we have an idea of what we are buying. And yes, the original price is marked up but the sale prices are good.
Purchased 8 items from this popular on line and television shopping network. Each item cost $1.99 per item with a date of delivery 7-9 days. I asked how to get it delivered more quickly the response was i would be charged 29.95 per item that would have been a total of $239.00. What a rip off! Even charging the $1.99 with a deliver date of 7-9 days is unreasonable. If you want to have something delivered 2-3 days normal only cost $14.95. TAKE MY ADVISE AND DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE RIP OFF!

I bought some auction items from shoplc.com and they were claiming its real silver, gold, gemstones and turquoise.
Had a few jewelers look at the rings and none of it was real. All of the rings were fake in everything.
