Not only do they allow thieves to work for them when it is an honor system and tip share but they will screw over their honest hard working employees until they decide to just leave. Shooter’s is an awful place to work. The micromanaging from the owners and constant hassling is enough to drive you insane.
The owner has access to camera footage and will watch women on the cameras. None of the owners will have your back and are quick to throw you under the bus for something you did not even do. You automatically get clocked out at 3am and end up staying way later to clean everything to their standards and do not get compensated for it. They set you up to fail.
The owners drink for free in their own bar and the general manager does the same, she drinks and doesn’t ring it up or she will add it to a comp tab and blame her employees for it. Half the employees are thieves You WILL get sexually harassed and groped The owner will tell you he doesn’t tip you because him letting you work for him is his tip to you The GM will stab you in the back GM hires all her crooked corrupt friends from other bars knowing they would steal Monique "Mo” Ramsey steals and blames it on the bartenders and servers.
Within the time I have been employed at Shooters, I have seen a multitude of problems. The management (Chris Miller, Monique Ramsey, Linda Cox) is a trio of vapid yet malicious individuals who berate, belittle, verbally assault, and create an overall unsafe working environment. They are extremely self serving, and self entitled.
I have witnessed both Chris and Monique go behind the bar or stay at the bar while not on shift and drink on "comp tabs”, essentially stealing from the establishment and writing it off as a business expense. When attention was attempted to be brought to the issue, individuals were singled out or put down. Monique herself creates an environment that is sexually aggressive and unsafe, harassing staff with comments about how she would prefer to bed them as well as leaving overserved or otherwise obvious threats within the establishment because forcing them out would be "bad for business.”
After hours, Monique, Chris, and Linda will text message or call staff to complain or blame individuals for tasks not being done to her standards, even when the tasks themselves had either been completed with photographic documentation or with properly documented explanation. There have been other forms of "playground behavior”, such as a physical notebook called b***h Book that encouraged a mob mentality to belittle staff in a vicious manner.
Aside from that, but along the same lines, a GroupMe was created that was utilized primarily to create excuses for things not being done, or a way to cover their own agendas. I myself have been questioned about my abilities as a worker, my legitimacy as a man, and my comprehension of danger. Chris Miller has used homophobic slurs/ comments at me while intoxicated on property, propositioned a female staff member to a threesome, and drunkenly participated in a tirade at two female team leads for using the bathroom on shift to tend to basic human needs.
Chris has also refused to ban or remove guests from a "no entrance” list due to it "being bad for business”, even when guests have been arrested, become violent, or produced drugs/drug paraphernalia in the open. Linda Cox has harassed many staff members during or after shifts about their clothing or the way they operate, and done so in an unprofessional/childish way. To finalize my statements, I would like to say everything written here has been something I have personally witnessed or viewed with physical documentation. This place will attack you on a mental, physical, and emotional scale. You are going to be set up for failure, and you will become the target of unjust blame. You will witness improper business practices and you will be serving individuals who are participating in criminal acts. Stay clear of Shooters.
I could go on and on about the "problems” in this place. The issues started with and center around the new GM ("Mo” Monique Rachelle Ramsey) and one of the owners (Chris Miller). It’s unfortunate because they actually have an owner named Trey that is absolutely phenomenal, super emotionally stable, and extremely fair.
If you come here as a patron, Mo (Monique Ramsey) the GM will add shots and drinks to your tab that she gave to her other favorite regulars, and/or herself & Husband. If you work here, Mo will start a tab under your name, ring up shots and drinks , etc on that tab, and then void the tab out while putting "See Mo” for reason it was voided so the owners will the govstraight to her, and then she will blame you. Also, we work on a tip pool as compared to getting our own individual tips.
Mo has hired many of her old corrupt drug dealing friends from previous bars she worked at, and brought them over to Shooter’s. Be prepared to be stolen from as they will collect $100+ in tips and only turn in $8 - $20 maximum. You WILL get sexually harassed and groped and you will be expected to just take it. I’ve never seen customers ANYWHERE that get away with groping their servers and bartenders. This place almost ENCOURAGES it. Not even strip clib employees have to worry about that.
The owner, Chris, will come in with his buddies and even if you take EXCELLENT care of him/them HE WILL NOT TIP YOU. He will tell you he doesn’t tip you because him letting you work for him is his tip to you. I’m pretty sure it’s a serious Texas Workforce Commission infraction too, but even if you have to stay until 4:30am to finish closing (which happens nightly) you will not be paid passed 3:00am. They also will not pay you overtime regardless of how many hours you work passed 40 hours.
If you are fired because Mo is worried in her drug induced paranoia that you will rat her out, she will fire you and then write other surrounding bars and make up lies as to why you are fired so they shouldn’t hire you. She will also make sure you get denied unemployment regardless of your circumstances. I’ve seen her do this no less than 3 times now as of very recent. As a customer or as a potential employee, I recommend you RUN away from this place.
