I signed up with the company to handle shipping of my online orders for then my identity was hijacked by some thrives causing my eBay and other seller accounts terminated.
The shipping activity came to a stop but the fees charged by shipmonk went three times higher because of a condition they put in the contract basically saying if you dont sell anythig then you will be charged a minumum pick fee of $250 plus stprage fees so I was getting bills every month for roughly $350-$400 .
I contacted the company asking to put my account on hold but they said no such option was available and i had to pay them to get my inventory released or else the charges will continue to accumulate.
It didnt take long till my accumulated bills were in excess of $2000 while I tried to solve the issues with eBay and other platforms helplessly , and continued to contact shipmonk asking for an act of mercy for my dire situation but was refused and rejected.
Today , bills have accumulated to multiple thousands and they are starting to auction my inventory for liquidation knowing that I won't be able to pay. Neither do I have money to sue them or take any legal action and here I am , helpless and hopeless I write my experience with shipmonk.com
Have been with this company a short time. I would like to warn others not to go near the company.
They will often solicit clients potentially from request for tendor type websites or through Search Engine Optimised reviews or affiliations with blogs etc. Since I have been with them they have not even received items despite them being status 'delivered'. They promise a 24-48 hour delivery time for receiving to sending and also a 24 hour delivery time from receipt which they dont come close on.
They actually sent out items from newest to oldest order even though the oldest I told them needed to go out first. They said the system they had was always right but it wasn't and despite many attempts to tell them the system was not functioning correctly they still then not do anything to rectify the issue. They did not even apologise only offering one when told about it. They have a very poor culture and the CEO has absolutely no emotional intelligence or customer service ability. She may have been someone who has never worked in retail or customer service. Even though it was absolutely clear that the company was at fault she just said it was outside their control despite the fact that everything was in their control. Since then I have had issue after issue.
Don't go near this company or you'll regret it. These sorts of companies should not be in business and I recommend you move to a larger service provider perhaps with a stronger reputation. Do not believe the reviews and blogging you see online as these are often paid for.
They advertise "Shipwire Alternative", actually shipwire is way better than them. They have been a horrible experience, losing my items and costing me thousands. Shipwire am using now and have no problems. They are one of the best fulfillment companies. Also all of shipmonk's reviews are fake BEWARE of this company.
