Shenzhen HX Technology Co.,Ltd Reviews
If I knew then what I know now, I would not have sent this company $4378 of my hard earned money.
After doing research on-line and viewing complaints on this website and Alibaba, I thought this company was safe. I communicated with Chris He by email about his product and his company for several months before placing an order.
In January 2016, I ordered twenty hoverboards from this company. That is not a huge order, but I wanted to place a small order to be sure everything was ok with this company before placing any more orders. It took several months for the order to be shipped and go through US Customs and to be received by me in late April. The long delay was expected and that is not the problem.
I sold all of them. I had to refund 18 of the 20 that I sold because the batteries were faulty. The batteries will not hold a charge. There is supposed to be a safety function in the hoverboard that warns the rider with a "beep" when the battery voltage is getting dangerously low. It is supposed to keep the hoverboard from going dead and causing the rider to crash. The safety function would work if the batteries lost voltage in a slow and steady rate.
This safety system does not work at all because the batteries quit producing voltage suddenly; causing the rider to crash. One of the people who I sold a hoverboard to crashed badly and was hospitalized. I did not get sued because he was a friend of mine and I apologized profusely and refunded his money.
I got calls from 17 of the remaining 19 people that bought hoverboards because they had simular incidents. Luckily, there were not more injuries. I expect the remaining two customers to want to return their hoverboards soon.
I contacted Chris He with the Company. I told him of the problems and I did not hear back from him. So, I contacted him again on whatsapp. After several attempts, he got back with me and said his engineer asked me to do a test to determine if the problem was in the pc board or the battery. I already knew it was a battery problem, but I did the test anyway. The result was..... are you ready? battery.
I sent a video to Chris showing the test and results that he asked for. There was no response for over a week. I then contacted Chris again and he said that he has been on vacation for a while, but the batteries have only a six-month warranty and there is nothing that he can do for me.
I read the warranty very carefully. The warranty is for one year. There is NO mention of a six-month battery warranty. They told me that if I want to get with the battery manufacturer, I could order replacement batteries, but they would charge me for them.
Please stay clear of this company for your own good!!
