As a cancer patient that is primarily bedridden, I find much pleasure in using the internet and viewing television. I have been a viewer of the soap opera, YOUNG AND RESTLESS, for over thirty years and have been a poster on Disqus, a part of Soap.Com for a number of years. I have made poster friends who, besides voicing their opinions about the soap characters and storylines, we also have become personal with our lives.
Today, when I attempted to post my opinion about the poor quailty of writing of the newest soap writer, Susan Susman, my post was not shared and a message appeared that I was now banned from Soaps.Com
I was shocked and did believe that this was an error and tried and tried again with the same message resulting. I did spend most of today researching the internet for corporate contacts and the post moderators without success.
This company does hide from the public and it is impossible to contact those who are responsible.
Indeed, I do feel that my 1st Amendment rights have been violated by this company and they have blocked my opinions and separated me from those other posters that I have befriended.
Dealing with a deadly disease is a challenge and cancer patients should have the right to use posting sites in which they have been accepted as members which I have been by Disqus. All of my postings can be accessed from that site, Soaps.Com in which I did not exhibit any degree of leudness or hostility towards other posters . I believe that I will be missed by my fellow posters.
Please do assist me in restoring my rights to opinionate as an American Citizen.
