Seventh Avenue has allowed an account to be opened under my name. I never opened this account nor did I even know this company exsisted. Now i have received a bill in the amount of almost two thousand dollars. Upon calling the company in question, they said I purchased two notebooks for the amount of just under two thousand dollars.
So as the writing of this report my credit now has negative marks against it and i will have to wait atleast a week for what they called a fraud packet to be filled out and returned to them to investigate the issue.
Someone on their end should have been watching for fraud or a scam. Now i will need to exhaust time and effort to clear this matter up.
Ordered a Portable TV a SuperSonic SC-499 Seventh Avenue price $149.99 + Shipping and Handling $22.95 for a total of $172.94. Wife check online Amazon has the same Portable TV a SuperSonic SC-499 for $69.99 and free shipping and handling.
For the price that Seventh Avenue billed me for one Portable TV SuperSonic SC-499 $172.94 I can purchase two from Amazon and still have $32.96 to go out for dinner. This not including the interest they billed for using their credit card. Returning Product by prepaid Fedex Label provided by Seventh Avenue !!!
Beware Seventh Avenue are not making an honest profit but more like robbing their loyal customers. You have been warned. Beware of the Seventh Avenue Robbers!!!
This company gave me so much credit and after I paid my balance completely, they kept sending my email notices to spend 3500.00 during Christmas. Now that I did and wanted to charge 1061.00 and I was supposed to receive my delivery today 10-18-2019 so I called and they said that I needed to pay 1000.00 deposit after being a loyal customer since 2012.
Seventh Avenue has never done this with me ever until today and I'm extremely disappointed with them, they said something on my credit report reflected this discussion. But I've had an account since 2012 without any issues. This is how you treat a trusted loyal customer!!!
I had ordered from these people in the past and had no problems had paid off the credit a few month ago and had $2150 credit with them, So I thought I would get some flannel sheets and a set of pillows. Ordered on 11/24/18 , however was told the pillows would not be sent to PO BOX. when only a few month back they had sent a couple of Laptops to PO Box but not Pillows? then I had been alerted by Lifelock that a hard copy had been ran on my credit report from Seventh Avenue 11/24/18. When I called Customer Service spoke to a very rude male who told me that it was the policy of the company that they could run a credit check with each order and that some products could not be sent to PO boxes for Safety. What? Safety? Credit Check with every Order? How ridiculous! was told that If I didn't like the Policies of the Company I didn't have to order from them. GREAT IDEA! sending the sheets back 12/03 and will never order from this Scam Company ever again.
I never even heard of this company until i received a bill in the mail for goods I supposedly ordered.
I never received anything from them and obviously they did not have my email address. They apparently support the "FRAUD" by allowing the merchandise to be sent to another address than the one that was used to open the account.
I looked at all their complaints online and there are a lot! It seems to be a pattern with this company. Many people have had their credit damaged due to their practices. I cannot believe that they are still getting away with it!
I did call their credit department and explained the situation. They said that they would close the account but I'm not so sure it will be done and I'm very concerned about what's next. I don't think that this is the last time I hear from them.
They sent a pre-approved card with the catalog. I ordered under the pre-approved amount. Charged me $78 for shipping two small boxes. Called and they stated they only approved a quarter of what was stated as pre-approved. No statement said credit limit or available balance. Reported as over the limit to credit bureaus.
Total scam company with poor ethics. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY OR RELY ON THEIR PRE APPROVAL NOTIFICATION
I am getting calls three to four times a day from seventh avenue, monroe and main, Ginny's and Montgomery wards on my accounts I pay what I can a month and I understand im a little behind but im really frustrated with the day to day calls this is harrasment and i really feel that it is uncalled for we all have finacial struggles and do are best with them but constant phone calls is senseless and I want it to stop.
My Mother made a purchse from a Seventh Avenue catalog for a pair of boots for $200. She mailed a check, received the boots a couple weeks later and loved them. Three weeks later she receives a bill in the mail from Seventh Avenue saying she has a "past due balance" of $20. Before I knew it she mailed them a check for $20. One month later (now) they sent her a second bill saying she now owes $41 and it is "past due." I tried to call the customer service department line but they are closed on weekends. I'm going to call again on Monday. This is absolutely appalling and innocent people who don't understand the reality of identity theft, such as my Mother, are too easy a target for companies that utilize these evil tactics. The account number I had to punch in when the prompt first popped up said she had a $600 credit limit! She doesn't even have an account with them! This is a clear scam and after researching other reviews of similar problems with this company I fear my Mother's identity and finaces could be in danger of being compromised.
My mother had furntiure delivered by a subcontractor, Pack Mules, for Raymour & Flanigan who employee stole a check from my mother when they were in the house brining the furniture in. A week later my mother received an Order Acknowledgement Form with items of purchase which were delievered to a totally different person's name at at totally different address as to where the acknoweldgement form was addressed, hence the red flags should've went up. They allowed this creep to open an account with just my mother's name and address. He obviously did not have any other identifying inforamtion other than that and her checking and bank routing number, which appears who somehow used that to link to the account. In any event, any type of credit account to be opened, a social and date of birth should be required, here it was not. Now my mother, the victim of this d**n thief, is the one left dealing this. Receiving letters stating she needs to make payment when in fact they have been alerted to the fraud activity and the best is that the thief made a double payment to the account from her checking account so that he would have credit to use (assuming he must've known it would've come to fruition soon enough). Seventh Avenue representatives were awful dealing with - stating that could not even close the account only that would be put on hold until they get the fraud packet back. Best part is, when telling them the situation, the rep said somethign didn't look right put us on hold for a long time, then just said to make sure we complete the packet and return it and they'll do an investigation. I'm sorry but Seventh Avenue as well any of these other types of scandalous no name sites continue allowing easy accessible opening of accounts without requiring appropriate credit checks are just as much of a thief as the thief himself.
