I'm a Real Estate agent. SetSchedule called and sold me a membership to acquire home listings. They collected $750 from me with an understanding to pay them 30% of my Brokerage.
They send you an appointment time to meet with a home seller and they advise you not to call them, first. I did research on the first property which is valued at around $1,000,000. I was very grateful for this lead and excited. I did the research on the home and came prepared with a presentation. When I arrived nobody answered the door. I waited 20 minutes and as I was about to leave the owner opened the door. It was an elderly woman who told me that she never spoke to anyone and did not make the appointment. In fact, she had another appointment she was waiting for her ride for. I left.
The next appointment they sent me to a house at 2PM on Saturday afternoon. The same thing happened. I arrived, prepared, and the owner said that he never made an appointment.
In both cases I contacted the company and told them what happened. They did not respond except with a form email that said that I would get the next one. In all cases I've sent them a story and my words were not read or misunderstood because the responses had nothing to do what I said.
I'm calling my credit card company now to see if they will reverse the original charge.
Worst FAKE company. Sue them - class action lawsuit all the way! Any attorney’s out there? How could these people be allowed to have a business after all these complaints????
The worst real estate lead service in the world. Complete scam started by a ponzi- schemer who is barred from the securities industry for life. This is the most cynical, lying business model you can imagine. They buy very old and incomplete leads from other lead services and dump them off on unsuspecting agents as if they are new, fresh and exclusive. They say they will set specific appointments for you at a premium price with clients that are “ ready to buy or sell”. This is the most attractive part for agents and the most cynical part for this scam. The “team” that sets the leads are a telemarking co in the Far East that set CMA appointments with the elderly and gullible or outright manufacture appointments from public record. Agent after agent has had the same result of showing up to their “set scheduled” appointment and had the home owner not have any idea what they are talking about. When this first happened to me, I was furious and demanded to speak with the person that set the appointment. I was told that my concerns were of the greatest concern to the Co. and it would be looked into. More crap from the people who sell it like gold. It happened again and again. Their daily leads are not any better. I wasted my time with 100 and these were my results after hours-and hours of work. 64 -wrong or incomplete contact information, 33 some version of “you are the 5th or 6th or 10th agent to call me “stop calling”, 2- obscenity laced “stop calling me”, 1 prospect that did not qualify for a mortgage. Do they care. Not one bit. They figure there are always more desperate agents out there who will buy their crap, their not making the calls to irate customers, eventually some of these thousands of calls has to result in a sale. So they keep churning. - sounds kind of like a Ponzi scheme. I wonder where they got that idea?
I filed a complaint with the BBB in Irvine California about Set Schedule. I received Set Schedule's response & am outraged! I have connected w/multiple agents across the US who have been scammed by this company. I have been given contact information to file my complaint with the State of California Attorney General's office, (California is where Set Schedule is located) & a complaint has been filed by others to the FBI.
I am in the process of obtaining the paperwork & person to speak with about adding my complaints to this investigation. This company is an absolute fraud, & they do not actually provide any leads that are qualified (or "Vetted" as they refer to them). They prey upon elderly people across the US & get their contact information, send it out to agents under the guise that they are actual "Sellers" who want to sell their home. I have personally spoken to 4 such "leads" only to find out they were frightened, elderly people who have no intention of selling their homes.
They do not know why I call, even though Set Schedule sends them to us as a "vetted" seller lead. This company must be stopped. They are stealing money from Realtors & are preying upon elderly people. I am happy to provide the BBB w/the list of other complaints, both agent complaints & information through the California Attorney General's office, along w/the complaint we are filing in Missouri.
They have defrauded my husband & I out of $1841.40, & we intend to take whatever means necessary to recover this amount. We have let Set Schedule know that we are no longer accepting leads, solicitations, training, etc. from them because it is all BOGUS! We cannot possibly be held to an agreement where they have no intention of holding up their end of the agreement.
They are a horrible company & need to be stopped. I have notified the Missouri Association of Realtors, as well as the National Association of Realtors & I have left multiple comments w/specific details of their scheme on various sites across the internet. They need to be put out of business!
I contracted with Set Schedule LLC in January 2018. The salesperson promised me 8 listing appointments within 6 months, as well as $500 co-op budget for listing marketing with Set Schedule, and some other "perks" like gold events (whatever that is). I am 2 months into my agreement with them and have not received a single listing appointment, despite completely open availability. Based on my research, there are no other agents anywhere in my metro area that have signed on with them, so the problem is not having a large pool of agents for them to fulfill appointments for. The problem is they aren't a legitimate lead generation company. I had my doubts, but a couple of weeks ago I was contacted by 2 other agents who had been solicited by Set Schedule and they were wanting to get my feedback on my experience thus far. I was honest with them. One of them told me that she had seen I was a member through a social media post they created. I went to find the social media post, and noticed it had A LOT of likes. I clicked to view the "likes" on that particular post, and it was evident that those likes were bots, not actual people. I then looked at the list of followers on their Instagram account, and noticed the same thing. I started to get a little concerned. Finally, just over 2 months into the agreement I decided to call them and inquire as to why I had not yet received a single appointment. The representative apologized and promised to move me to her "high priority" list, and to just give them 48 hours, but said that weekends don't count (this was on a Thursday afternoon). I told her I was not interested in giving them any more time to make good on their promises, and if they had been unable to schedule a single appointment in the first 2 months, it was highly unlikely they would be able to fulfill 8 appointments in a 4 month timeframe. She then said she would have to escalate my request to her manager. Her "manager" called me right back. She basically told me the same thing and said my request for termination would have to be sent to her "team" to review. I told her to have whoever is in charge call me back instead of wasting my time. I then decided to review the agents highlighted on their website and start contacting them. The feedback I am receiving from these agents has been the same. They all tell the same story I am telling you here - paid $1850 for a membership package. Either no appointments were given, or they were sent an appointment here and there, and the people they arrived to speak to either did not exist or had no knowledge of any appointment. These are not "vetted" leads, as the folks at Set Schedule will lead you to believe. Do yourself a favor and find another way to lead generate. This is not the way. Also, do your fellow realtors a favor and if you hear them inquire about this company, tell them to run.
In July I entered a contract with them for $1,850 plus 30% commission fee. They guaranteed 8 Seller Listings. These were to be Sellers that were Wanting to Sell their Homes Now. I asked what happens if they really don't want to sell and she said that never happens as they guarantee with the home owner the day before the appointment that they still wanted to sell. I did start receiving leads however, None of them wanted to Sell their Homes and were mad that I was showing up at their home. Not only that but 3 did not even own property 2 of those were so made because they were hounded they agreed to meet me. But there was no address because they didn't own a home. The 3rd was so made he was waiting for me to drive for hours looking for him and I kept calling saying I couldn't find it. He did this because he said he wanted to get back at me for all The aggregation he went through want turned verbally violent. I called Set Schedule after the first 3 and they told me they would have a talk with the team. I said I wanted to cancel and gave her all the names addresses and phone numbers along with detailed conversations and said I wanted to cancel and get my money back. She refused saying I would never get my money back. I told her I would fight it and to stop sending me emails but they continued and I am still fighting. They are a fraud and I can give you all of their names and phone numbers for you to verify.
Exactly what the other complaints say. They are a Big Rippoff, they take your money and never provide you with any Real Leads. I dont know how they stay in business. I hope someone really stops them from ripping people off. DO NOT Buy anything from this company
They provide leads but they did not disclose the time those leads came about. It could be old leads months or years ago. The sales team tries to say 6% return for calls. So 94 are fake leads? Customer service is non existent and often a VM. If you need to cancel your account, you have no control and need to be directed to their notorious lead of success coaches Dhaman Gill. Real companies give you real leads like REALTOR.COM or HOMEGAIN etc. And when you want to cancel, its like no problem. I was scammed out of $1600 for their GOLD program and the sound of Set Schedule already make me sick. After reading all these reviews, I want to slap myself for not reading prior to purchase. and best.. NO REFUND, NO CLOSING OF ACCOUNT and NO REAL LEADS. Its basically false advertising, cornering unsuspecting realtors to buy. Also be careful of the autorenewal clause. You need to have written termination of renewal. Else its renewal again of a bogus product. ALL REALTORS BEWARE. I have to make back my loss of $1600 other ways maybe Uber or beg or open house service for other realtors.... so angry with myself.
Do not do business with Setschedule.com or You WILL Regret it!
I got scammed big time by the frauds at Setschedule.com! I lost $2000+ when I signed up for their Gold pro-membership in November. I've been a member all this time and I got not even one lead! I recently just cancelled the account because some of the "leads" I called were angry and threatened to report me for violating the DNC laws.
I called and followed up with each and every lead. I put them on a CRM system to find that that was a huge waste of my time because most of the emails were either undeliverable or weren't ever opened. Despite my numerous complaints and sending them a status on each lead, they will not refund the $2,000. Beware of their "refund policy". It only works for the $19/month subscription. I started that way. The leads were garbage but they offered a refund right back if I wasn't satisfied. The leads were only between $8 and $12 dollars. But I quickly learned that $8 or $12 is much easier to "refund" than $2000! Once you sign the contract and pay, you're SCREWED!
I am hoping that this review will pursuade enough agents to collaborate against these frauds and report them to the following authorities. The FTC has the authority to fine and enforce companies to refund money to consumers if enough people were scammed.
Orange County Sheriff's Department (in California):
I downloaded its app from our company email. Once I installed the app, I receive tons of notification of leads reminder per day. I paid for 6 leads. All fake leads except 1 lead that woman was in a hurry to tell me she is not interested to hire an agent. Not only did I wasted my valuable time to call and email these FAKE leads. I noticed whenever I take a new lead, the setschedule representative calls me immediately with crappy phone signals. Even their noisy call quality and unprofessionalism doesn't seem legit from very first call. I feel cheap. I was proved right after later reading many reviews online. The customer service doesnt mean anything or any valuable information they provide! And it doesn't matter whatever feedback I provided them, every time I told them no one answers or reply that lead, I never heard back from them. WHAT THE HECK IS THE POINT OF CALLING YOUR CUSTOMERS??! No complaint or survey I provided in their app had ANY feedback ever. Zero. When I asked for a refund. Someone said will need to discuss with a manager takes days and never called back.
This is a SCAM company. All they want is your money! You will not only waste your time and money with them! STAY AWAY!
P.S. Please read on glassdoor reviews by their own employees sort by ratings from low to high. You will see they sell fake products, pay cheap labor dollars and just run a call center. Their CEO seems before was a notorious con artist. All good reviews are FAKE!!
If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I signed a 6-month contract with SetSchedule, which ended on August 21st. I was promised/contracted for 10 seller appointments and received 4. One was an 80+ year old lady whose nephew was her realtor and who had no idea why I showed up on her doorstep. Another was a 70+ year old who lived in an apartment and had nothing to sell.
I contacted the company to get a refund because they were in breach of contract. Left several messages and it took weeks for someone to get back to me. I finally spoke with a manager and was told that I would not get a refund because there was nothing in the contract that entitled me to a refund, even though they admitted that they only gave me 4 leads. I have filed complaints with the BBB and the Attorney General of California in an effort to get my money back, to no avail. I also reached out to the Inman author, who has also received several complaints.
A legitimate, customer-driven company will do everything it can to resolve issues and make sure its customers are happy. Not SetSchedule. They took $1,850 and provided nothing in return. I have NO idea how they are rated A+ with the BBB when they have over 60 complaints. I have started researching their "great" reviews and found that the reviewers are not real estate agents, and the same review is written multiple times by different people. They are deceiving consumers by, presumably, buying reviews. How this company is still in business boggles my mind.
If you have had a similar experience, please contact me. I would like to take legal action against them for deceptive business practices.
