SERVPRO of West Pasco Reviews

  • Jul 14, 2019

Servpro's tag line is "like it never even happened." In my case, it did happen, and it kept happening for four months. My experience with Servpro of West Pasco is too long to detail in an online review. What I will say is that this is one of the absolute worst companies and franchises I've ever had the displeasure of working with as a consumer. I will also say that when you ask the General Manager (Jeremy George) for a copy of the business liability insurance in writing four times and said GM continuously and blatantly ignores a request that by Florida State law, statutes 627.401-627.442 and 627.4137, must be provided and is in violation of said law when not provided, I would strongly advise discontinuing any services with said company.

This is just one of the many beyond bad experiences I had endured for 4 months with Servpro of West Pasco. Their so-called "project manager" Tony Rocha, was completely incompetent and should not be managing any projects. For any company. Servpro of West Pasco General Manager, Jeremy George, is truly a "unique" individual who gravely has no concept of customer service what. So. Ever. Their Servpro Franchise Business Consultant, Cindy Walters, tried miserably to mediate an issue between myself and Mr. George because he was attempting to resolve damage to flooring caused by faulty equipment brought in by Servpro of West Pasco. Mr. George for some odd reason treated compensation for damages as an insurance claim. Last time I checked, Servpro is not an insurance company. And if he wanted to treat it as an insurance claim, he should have provided his liability insurance when requested 4 times. That's what we have insurance for home, auto, and business...because things happen. Unfortunately, Mr. George took it upon himself to decide if and how he would like to resolve damages. That's not how you conduct business...that's just customer service 101. Oh, yeah...and did I mention Mr. George also decides if a homeowner should or should not receive a release from an Authorization to Perform Work agreement in order for the homeowner to proceed with another contractor for an insurance claim? This is also what happened when I requested several times for a release by Servpro of West Pasco and was advised that Mr. George said that a release was not necessary. That is until my Insurance Adjuster had to call their office twice to state that indeed, a homeowner does require a release in order to move forward with another company. It seems Mr. George is confused as to what type of business he owns...an insurance company or a restoration company. Before you decide to sign an Authorization to Perform Work agreement with Servpro of West Pasco, I would strongly suggest requesting a copy of their liability insurance, because as a homeowner, you need to be protected. If they do not provide it before you sign on the dotted line, I would move on to another restoration company. By the way, Servpro of West Pasco...consider this review my overall rating from the Certificate of UNSatisfaction you initially asked me to complete.

I held my tongue on my dealings with ServPro of West Pasco until today. Where do I begin...

Our house flooded this past summer and we called them for clean up. Initially they were fine to deal with...but they just kept doing work and doing work and not giving us any type of idea what the costs were going to be or even what insurance would and/or would not cover.

Only after a week of having about 15 of their machines in our house did we find out that insurance doesn't cover them. Per ServPro after we pressed them.

A week and a half later we were about to get hit with another flood. I texted one of their service managers Doug and told him he needed to come out and get his machines because they were going to go under water and we weren't going to pay for them to just sit there.

He did come out to check on things and he took one of the machines but left the others.

The following week they came back out to do more clean up after flood number 2 and they accused us of taking their machine because Doug hadn't properly recorded that he had removed it.

Then their construction manager Jessica came out. She went through everything with my wife and discussed with her how we could claim certain things just to get the insurance money but cut corners on repairs so we could take the cash or do other things to our home. She would just come and go from our home as she please over the course of a week. Keeping on my wife about getting our commitment...yet no quote for the cost of everything she wanted to do.

My wife pressed on her for two weeks and she kept avoiding my wife and putting her off. Wanting to get our signature before we ever agreed to a price.

After finally getting it from her 2 weeks late...we told her that we were not going to do business with them going forward but would be happy to pay the bill that we owed once the insurance money came in.

Today I found out they placed a lien on my house because we haven't paid yet...except this is the first I am hearing of a lien. They were in contact with my wife to let her know that we owed them, but never said anything about a lien. And never contacted me THE HOMEOWNER regarding this. My wife is not on the loan only I am, yet I was not informed.

We are still waiting on the insurance money to come through and my wife let them know that.

It may not be illegal what they did...but it is certainly unethical as are all of their shady business practices. So Jeremy George can continue with his sleazy business model, but it won't last long. Avoid SleazePro of West Pasco at ALL costs!!!
