I purchased a warranty from this company when I purchased two new leather recliners. One of the recliners got a spot on an arm, and I tried to remove it with water on a wet microfiber cloth. When that didn;t work, I tried a single drop of Dawn dishwashing detergent (a very mild cleaner). The top coating on the leather came off and left a discolored mark. I contacted Serveco/UltraShield, who first stated it would be covered, then denied the claim without notice or any exxplanation. Do not buy from this company. It is a totally disreputable company. Their warranties are expensive but not worth the paper they are written on. I intend to warn family and friends about this rip-off company as well.

Terrible customer service - would not recommend!

I would give this company 0 stars if that was an option. Terrible customer service! It took many calls and emails to get a response for my sofa warranty. In January, a glass of red wine stained a large section of my 1 year old white couch. As instructed by my decorator, Laura, I refrained from cleaning the sofa my self. I immediately got in touch with Laura, who instructed me to submit a claim with ServiceCO. I did and have been getting the runaround with them ever since. I even got Laura involved. Weeks later, ServeCo sent someone to my house to clean my sofa. By then, the stain was certainly saturated and did not come out. The service man went back and submitted his findings that the sofa needed to be repaired or replaced. The sofa is a year old but the material I chose for the sofa is no longer manufactured. Multiple dye lot fabrics will need to be used to make the extensive repair. Laura, my decorator, explained to them that that would not look good. She went back and forth with them. In the end, here is the email that I just received this afternoon:

Hi Catherine,

Thanks for your patience. Our Management Team has reached a decision and we will proceed with repair of the sofa instead of replacement.

Please understand that our warranties do not cover dye lot variance. Per my conversation with Laurie, there could be a dye lot variance. Please reply you understand and agree to this condition of your warranty.

Thank You,

Bryce Hood

I purchased a leather warranty for my Lazy Boy sofa. I discovered a damage situation with one of the cushions after the house cleaners left one day. They deny they did anything to cause the damage.

I contacted Serveco the file a claim on my warranty. When asked to describe the problem with the leather i used the word "cracked" in the description. I was denied my claim because they deemed the Damage to not be covered and normal wear and tear.

I explained that this damage was not there on the week end and i first saw it on a Monday. This sofa is sat on very rarely and I am sure it is not wear and tear. My summary it that the warranty, based on my experience, is useless and the Serveco Company is a waste of good money.

i agee

I so agree with the above review This warranty is useless. I have a stain mon my 2-year-old leather recliner. SPotted it and called serveco. I was unsure of the origin and didn't want to guess. Well, you got it, they said stains of unknown origin are not covered. USELESS WARRANTY AND EVEN MORE USELESS COMPANY

Fabric warranty on sofa

Contacted Serve Co regarding damage to my almost 5 yr old sofa. Accidental rip in back cushion caused by my daughter’s shoe. Very friendly and helpful. They asked me to submit photos and approved my reselection within a week.

This is a lie

The warranty is a lie. What ever the damage is that you have they will lie and say it isn’t covered in an attempt to keep their money. Lazy boy should be ashamed of themselves for partnering with such a shady co as Serveco.

I purchased ultra shield protection plan for my sofa approximately 2 years ago I submitted a claim in August of this year

Ireceived a letter stating that it was denied " This a non coverage for seam separation and unknown damage on your furniture'

The warranty states rips and tears but the fact that i do not know how it happened ,it was denied
