I used to be a member of Serra BJJ until Matt Serra threw his brother out of his own gym 2 years ago. He is extremely selfish, and what he did made me sick. So sick that I left.
Matt was always gone from the academy anyway. He was too busy shining his belt, out of town, in Vegas, off coaching reality shows for fighters he never even met instead of his own paying students. Even threw Scarola out too. Meanwhile, Nick was there all the time coaching students day to day. So what does Matt do? Throws him out without rightfully justifying it to him or his students.
Does nothing but burn bridges with students of his, but doesnt care about anyone personally. Just wants his thousand students and the UFC camera in his face. Dont go to Serra BJJ as long as Matt is running things. He's shown his colors too many times.
