Last August 20, 2020 I went to their salon to have a hair cut and brazilian blowout. When I went home and washed my hair, it did not change anything! I messaged Brian and sent a photo of my hair and told him that nothing happend to what they did to my hair. He called me and he wats me to go back at 9pm when I have a flight going to Utah. I explained it to him that I can't go back to the salon that late and that I have so much stuff to do because I was so busy that time preparing for my bestfriend's wedding in Utah. I asked him if I can go back on September 8th since that is my flight back home. But our flight was cancelled last minute because of the covid19 in LA.

We decided to stay two more weeks and be back in LA on September 20th. I messaged him if that will still work for him to redo my hair and he said that "I am taking advantage of their courtesy." So I messaged him back that I messaged him nicely so I am expecting him to respond nicely to me. And if it is a NO then NO and if it is a YES then it is a YES. That easy! There's no problem with me if they can't redo it anymore on 20th but the way he talks was so rude and very unprofessional so gave them a bad review on google. I paid $400 for nothing, I was asking for a half refund of what I paid but he messaged me that he already repoted me. He is very rude and unprofessional!

If you are thinking about getting your hair cut here, I strongly urge you to reconsider. The owner, is greedy and unprofessional, as proven by my latest experience with her. On Tuesday August 30th, 2019 at 3:30pm, my sister went to serenity for a haircut. Shortly after, she returned home upset with a horrendously uneven cut that looked nothing like the picture she showed to the owner who was her hairstylist (photo attached).

Upon seeing what had been done and finding out that it cost $40, my sister and I returned to the salon to speak about the issue. When we arrived, the owner was no where to be found, as she immediately left after rushing through my sisters haircut. The lady we spoke with told us to return at 7:30 when the owner would be back. So we waited three hours and went back, only for the owner to sit my sister down and attempt to convince her to let her fix it.

My sister obviously did not want this to happen, so the owner began to gaslight my sister by saying "you said you wanted it short”. The length was actually the least of the problems. As seen in the attached images, the owner essentially chopped her hair into a bowl cut and sent her out the door so that she could go on her break. When we told the owner that she would not be getting her hair redone there, the owner continued to boast how she has been "doing hair for years.” Yet, when I asked why she would do such a horrible job and let a client leave, she said she didn’t notice it looked bad.

The owner of serenity hair salon refused to issue a refund for a $40 haircut she spent ten minutes on. This is incredibly unprofessional, as my sister works a minimum wage job and can’t afford to throw money away. If I could give less than one star, I would. This haircut was unacceptable and completely worthy of a refund. The owner has proven that she does not care about client satisfaction.
