About 2 years after purchasing a laser from Sentient Lasers, I needed a repair. The repair cost was astronomical at $7000. I did not complain at that time as I just wanted my laser working properly. When I got the laser back it worked OK for a short period of time, and then I started getting the same errors codes.
To make a long story short, they would not make it right unless I paid again to ship to them and another diagnotic/repair charge. I refused and then they promised to send a tech to my office to repair it if possible. They did not, and after several months I finally decided to walk away from it.
After giving up on getting the repair done by them, I wrote an honest review on Google about my experience. It was very factual, and very honest. In reality, it was not as bad as it could have been, and I actually gave them 2/5 stars instead of 1/5 trying to be as fair and honest as possible. About 3 weeks after posting the review, they hired a lawyer who threatend to sue me for defamtion if I did not take down the review in 1 week.
This review I am writing right now should serve as notice to how I decided to handle the situation. I feel it was poor taste and classless to attempt to sue me without even contacting me in an attempt to find a remedy for the negative review. A solid business would definitely do this, and as a business owner myself I would do this.
Buyer beware dealing with these folks. I spent almost $70,000 with their company, and this is the treatment I get. They do not handle problems well. If you get lucky, and buy something from them that never has problems you might be in good shape. If you ever need reliable support, expect none from them.
