Send Earnings is a survey company I joined to make a few extra bucks. You are ineligible for a pay out in the form of a Visa debit card until you reach $30. They also send you offers that you can take part in to get dollars back in the form of credits to your account.
The first sign that this company was not on the up and up was when I decided to partake of one of their offers for Adlens Adjustables, plastic eyeglasses that are a nice cheap alternative to getting prescription glasses if you are just going to use them for small print as I intended to do. The glasses cost me about $30, and Send Earnings offered a $10 credit. However, the work I had to go through, including calling their home office and running around trying to get documentation for my purchase was totally insane. It took me about two weeks and several hours of emailing, calling and other nonsense just for me to get the $10 credit.
However, I was happy when I got it because now I was very close to my $30 goal. I was sick of all the emails clogging my inbox from this company; most of the offers were total ripoffs and not work my time, and they only give you a quarter for most of the surveys they offer you to fill out. Can you believe that? Twenty five cents for a half hour's work--all the other survey companies pay better than these con men.
Anyway, I finally get to $30 and apply for my Visa card. They tell me that they are going to send me an email telling me what to do to get the e card from Visa. But guess what? They never send you the email, and brother, you are SOL. And you can't contact them once you cancel your account; it is like you don't exist anymore.
Do not do business with this company; you will regret it. They are positively the WORST survey company to work for, and I do surveys for about six different companies. If you want to work with a fair company, sign up for VIP Voice, they are about the fairest that I have found so far. Nielsen is very good, too, but they only pay you in the form of sweepstakes entries; however their surveys are always the most interesting and well prepared, and most importantly, not too lengthy.
