I took out a Auto Loan through Security Auto Loans. I had a set payment date of the 10th and after 1 day of being late they called me with the worst most insultive customer service ever. First off they claimed my car loans was in there collections department after 1 day of being late claiming this is valid because they are a no grace period auto loan provider meaning I don't have the ability to be 1 day late on payment or my account goes to immediate collection Activity. The very next statement the representative said to me was can I afford the car and said if not tell him where to come and get it from after one day of being late. I almost cursed the guy out immediately but I kept my composure since I was at work. Mind you They called my work phone number because I did not answer my personal cell phone. I told representative that I could make payment upon being paid from work on that friday. The representative proceeds in demanding full payment immediately. Then tells me I need to make at least minimum payment before we get off the phone today all this in my first interaction with them after being one day late on my car payment.
I asked about changing payment date and they sent email telling me what to do to change payment. I did as requested but then they did not make change of payment date effective immediate the decided to change the payment date 60 days after request was made. They mailed me letters every other day and called me everyday until payment was made a week later after my first interaction with them. When I fell on hard times and payment went 10 days late and i refused to speak with their rude and demanding collections department the called everyone of my person references I listed to get the loan initially and pissed my family and friends off to the point I had a fallout with my cousin over how rude they was to them. The came a point about a year into my auto loan with them that because I refused to communicate with and had changed jobs they emailed me some defferral paper work saying the would defer my past due car payment and up coming payment with upon completion of paperwork showing proof of hardship. I completed paperwork emailed documents and met their standards to provide proof of hardship only to recieve email from them telling me that they will only defer past due payment and not upcoming payment and I needed to make at least minimum payment by my due date also demanding I call them for whatever reason.
I again refuse to verbally talk to this company because I find myself highly upset upon interacting with them every single time I speak with them. Their employees are rude, demanding, degrading, unforgiving, unreasonable, insulting and worst of all inhumane. After they lied to me about payment deferral of past due payment and up coming payment I did what I could to make minimum payment with them as soon as my car went 60 days delinquent do to medical issue in which i couldnt work. They repoed my car because I had to wait on my temporary unemployment benefit to payout a week later almost two weeks prior to my 90 day delinquency mark. They tacked on $300 plus fees tried to charge me $50 to release my personal items after they repoed the car and has not relinquished my personal items yet and I refused to make anymore payments to them what so ever.
