I bought a 300$ prepaid debit card at 4:15 p.m. on 6-9-2022 then proceedede to shop until 5:06 p.m. When I got home I discovered that a 298$ charge was made on the card af 4:48 p.m.
I went back to Walmart and demanded an explanation and they reviewed their cashier terminal information as well as their video surveillance and assured me that the breach was not on their end. Video surveillance shows that I placed the unopened card in my pocket and never opened it or even pulled it out of my pocket. I have time stamped receipts for the card at 4:15 p.m. , and my groceries at 5:06 p.m.The card was hacked while i was IN the store.
I contacted SecureSpend and told them my card was hacked on their end and that I could prove it - I was told I had to wait 10 days to file a dispute.I told them it was not a dispute and that it was fraud. I tried to explain that I had proof that it was hacked and they gave me the brush off and said they would not take any action for 10 days.
