I went in to be trained for my upcoming vacation in Belize and wanted professional scuba training. I asked for the owner as I had very poor service when I inquired the previous month as to pricing, equipment and what safety record I could obtain related their previous clients..The owner was pointed out to me as he was just pulling up and met me outside under an umbrella...he seemed pleasant enough and a bit loaded I thought for a midday customer service meeting...he had no problem talking prices and how if I was concerned about my safety breathing underwater and coming back to the surface without suffering and chance of equipment failure and not coming up at all, a joke I did not see any humor in...he suggested I put my trust in him and allow him to personally gear him up as he would choose for himself, anything less would be unsafe....well $22,645 later I thought I could join the Navy Seals after his schbeel he laid it on thick....OMG After I got home and found an independent instructor actually a former employee...I found out just how screwed I got....and I never was able to get my money back or after trying and trying to obtain the schools safety record he refused as if I was trying to get his private bank account password...I will never Ever consider diving again after the obscene ordeal I went thru with this man...he has scared me and threatened me, he was not employed at Seattle Scuba but was he a wanna be employee or a x employeen not the owner but he had me fooled by the initial personal attention he gave me as we met over drinks at the bar next door ..I can't say for sure who he was now...I feel as if the oxygen mask was ripped off my face while in a dive gone bad. Was he the owner of Seattle dive schools or Seattle Scuba only time and more investigation will tell...I not giving up on my refund even though they claim to have no responsibility to the invoice I have...maybe a disgruntled employee....stay tuned I will update... In the meantime holding your breath may be good advice after all
