I found great prices on tickets for the Red Sox game that Ortiz will be retired at on Seatsmart.com. Purchased 4 tickets online and recieved a confirmation email with confirmation number within seconds of submitting my inforation for payment, after having to go through signing up with seatsmart.com, probably 5-10 minutes of my time.
The email stated that I would recieve the tickets directly to my email. When I went on to my email a day or so later to check the status of the tickets: when I should be recieving them, I noticed another email from seatmart saying "Cancelled order #(my order number)".
I was very confused and immediatly emailed them back asking what has happened and explaining that I was very upset. They proceded to say in their response email (which did come within 2-3 hours of my email to them) that they do not have the tickets with them and that they were sold by another company before they could procure them for me, even though I had recieved a confirmation email.
I responded to this email with more frustration and explaining that I stopped looking for tickets then because I thought I had already gotten tickets for the game. I would have kept searching that day knowing those tickets were unavailable.
They never respnded back to me again.
My Credit Card was charged for the tickets and a processing fee/charge. It was refunded to my card, but I would have much rathered the tickets.
