Sears Vacations Reviews

  • Jun 13, 2017

Went to a seminar, for Sears vacation, we asked a lot of questions, was lied to about a bunch of stuff, called to cancel next day, after have several questions but not being able to get a hold of any one, was told more lies that sounded good so waited to cancel, tried to book another vacation was very disappointing with offer, so called back next day to cancel and was told we can never cancel no matter how unhappy we are, so I might as well listen to what they have to offer, asked to talk to higher up manager and was told by Brandon that won't happen and that no one could help me.

Sometime in March of 2017, my wife and I was approached by a man in sears, offering a free vacation if we attend a meeting for vacation. Anyway we did,. After the presentation I asked if there was a finance charge, I was told no, only the fees that are associated with the actual booking itself. My wife and I decided to get the largest package which was the diamond. A few month went by, we decided to use the free coupon. Only to realize that we would have to pay for every additional person with no food drink n no discount whatsoever. But what really tic me off, that they r charging me a finance charge on my own money that they didn't lend me.

I thought the Sears Vacations was a pretty good deal, but after choosing to get out of the program due to hardship, I'm being told the hundreds that I have invested in the trip ins non-refundable. I earned points for a previous cruise and 2 hotel stays and when I used those credits, I was given MINIMIAL credits toward the hotel expenses. It would have been just as easy to pay for the hotels without having to call Sears Vacations then wait forever for someone to answer the phone, then wait as they search for the information I already gave them, etc. It is a huge nightmare and NOT worth the expense.

I Cherise Aiken purchase a travel package on 8/26/16 from Gregory Santoni in reguards to a great package from Sears Vacation. however I was promised a email confirmation on the package and price to be sent email the same day! On 8/27/16 I called to cancel because I got no contact information regarding my purchased on the vacation package nor any information on terms and conditions. I spoke to a supervisor on 8/27/16 and explain my reasons and he said that he was going to cancel it and send me email confirmation because I told him I was going to notify my bank of the cancellation and he told me no need he will cancel and send email confirmation and that was not done! Talk to my bank to cancel and told them we brought the vacation because it's sears vacation and I was told they didn't work for Sears they were an advertisement only which was another reason I was glad I cancelled! However today sears card member services Sharon informed us that she has a Sears Vacation and my email cancellation wasn't good enough to waiver the cost off our credit card which is unfair when we don't have any information on the company only what I'm summitting in writing. This is a rip off and Sears is trying to make us pay for their product that we haven't never received email! We have just got this address from sears in our dispute 15501 N Dial Blvd Scottsdale AZ 85260

Stay away from this company at all cost. Run don't walk

We went in and signed up without actually googling the company because obviously you have to sign up after the presentation. The man you sat with us "Ali" at the Marriott in Uniondale said we had 30 days to cancel and to my surprise since I didn't see the cancellation term on the contract itself, I googled it and learned that it was 10 days providing you faxed/mailed/called them which I did just within that 10 day window. So after faxing and writing to them which they received I made the call today and surprise, surprise - even if the link below says subscriptions can be cancelled within 10 days, the lady on the phone said cancellation period was actually 3 days so she cannot cancel the membership. Needless to say they won't get anything else from me so they can gladly take their membership and stuff it.

The program itself is full of baloney.. They give you so called free vacation certificate but what they don't tell you is that the resorts you can select are limited. I specifically asked the guy at the Marriott whether there was a limit on the places or resort availability when we were there. He said if I can see it on any other site, I should be able to see it on their site. LIES.

I perused the site and found that I couldn't get to select 1 resort I actually wanted to visit within the US. It appears most of their savings to make this worth the membership fee is assigned to the resorts outside of the US meaning the amount you may have to spend on airfare especially if you have a family will surely outweigh the benefit of this program.

Secondly they provide you with credits to use towards helping reduce the retail price of your resort/hotel, but wait... They also limit the number of credits you can use for each reservation... If you provide the customer with 6000 credits, they should be able to use it as they see fit. One potential reservation limited the # of points I could use to 115 pts. That was a 11% savings across the booking... I could get that at any other travel site or directly with the hotel itself.

Please do your research or better yet... listen to me.

I just recieved a call and then my mom recieved a call and a voicemail from "Anne" saying that my mom has been chosen to recieve one of their prize packages after signing up at our recent visit to Paradise Valley 'the other day'. I have been to Paradise Valley once in my life (several months ago) and my mom has never been.

The odd part is I have an ex who works for ICE who has been harassing me since I ended things with him and his mom works for the call center. They both have my number and my ex had my mom's for safety reasons while we were dating. I repeatedly told him not to contact my mom when we were dating and since I broke it off. But as a harasser does, he hasn't listen and continues to contact us both.

But the point of my complaint is this call was recieved from someone who sounded suspiciously like my ex's mother. She has a very specific accent. I'd recognize it anywhere. And I don't appreciate the harassment from these people. I'm ready to file for a restraining order against them. I can't deal with them anymore. This is a huge breach of trust and totally uncalled for.

Last June my husband and I atteded a presentation about a membership to purchase discounted travel packages through Sears Vacations Access Direct. During the presentation we were introduced to incredible travel selections at guaranteed discounted prices only available through the membership. We signed up in good faith and started looking for these amazing bargains. Unfortunately NONE of the featured benefits or exclusive options were reflecting the discounted prices that we were offered at the time of purchase. We strongly feel we were victims of a lame act of fraud. We are a hard working family and feel dissapointed and robbed. We are asking for our full refund of our $199 deposit to resolve this problem. I will wait 15 days before I start reaching out to the proper consumer agencies and consider seeking third party legal assistance. Please contact me via email at [email protected] with your reply. thank you
