Scuba Views Reviews
Attended the College of Southern Nevada community and personal enrichment program classroom on September 17 2015 to learn the open water PADI scuba diving. Completed the class room training and began studying for the written test. Meanwhile I moved forward to the confined diving training with the guidance of the classroom teacher Mr. William Duckro. Passed the confined water scuba diving training in the week that followed and scheduled with Scuba views the first of three Lake Mead scuba diving practical sessions needed to qualify to meet the PADI requirements to receive an open water scuba diver certifiecate from PADI. After passing the phase exams I moved forward to take the written test a week later. Passed the test scoring in the 80%. The Master diver went over with me what questions were missed. Mrs Duckro took my picture to be used in the certification ID card that PADI would issue to me in identifying me as a certified open water scuba diver. Prior to leaving the dive shop having completed the written test Mrs. Duckro stated that it would take two weeks for the certificate to be received by the dive shop. She went on to ask me if I wanted to receive a temporary certificate via e-mail my response was that I would like to receive it even though I would not be diving until January 2016.
Time has passed since I took the written test in early October. Two weeks ago I called Scuba views and spoke with Mr. William Duckro to ask about the status of my Scuba diving certificate card. His response was that he did not know. I informed him that I would give it one more week to follow up with the dive shop to ask about my certification card and reminded him that Mrs. Duckro had informed me after taking the written test that someone from the dive shop would be calling me to let me know that the certificate card was available to be picked up at the dive shop once it was delivered. Another went by and no telephone call from the dive shop. Called the dive shop and spoke with Mrs. Duckro to ask her what the situation was with the certificate. She took my name and date of birth information, said she would be calling PADI corporate office number to ask what is going on with my certificate card. I have not heard from her or anyone in the dive shop after several days have passed. Yesterday Tuesday November 23rd 2015 I called the PADI corporation location in California telephone number and spoke with a customer service representative by the name of Crystal to ask her what the status is with the paperwork that scuba views submitted as a result of my course completion. I was told that Scuba views has not submitted any paperwork for PADI to issue a open water certification card.
I do not believe Scuba views is being honest with me and believe that this is a scam.
