Scripted Reviews
I was very hesitant w/ this company because of the long time it takes to get paid, but I finally bid on a job and the client chose me to write for her. (It takes a solid month to get paid with Scripted) but then when the pay date rolled around, nothing showed up. They listed it as "Paid" on my Scripted dashboard but it never showed up in my account, and I contacted the 3rd party they use to process payments and they said nothing was ever submitted for me from Scripted. (I have the transcript of the chat with the payment center if anyone wants it.)
I confronted Scripted about what the payment processing company said and it's been three days and l've been utterly ignored. There are also many other red flags, like so many clients saying that the company refuses to stop automatic payments when they want to cancel, and the fact that Scripted is now charging writers a $19 "application fee." (UNHEARD OF in this field. I've worked for content brokers for 12 years and NEVER was I asked to pay a $19 application fee. Scripted was not doing that when I signed up or I would never have signed up and would not be chasing money right now. *sigh*)
I wish I had seen those red flags before I did any assignments for them. I signed up years ago but something always made me hesitate to claim work. There's no doubt in my mind that they once had a good reputation but now it appears shady at BEST. I'm pretty sure I will never see this $92.
It is a work at home job. You must create an account, no problem. Hit 'Continue" to go to next page and on the right side bar "$19.99 Application fee non-refundable". You are not told this in any information until you get to this page.
