I was at the Whole Foods and I was approached by a woman who said how beautiful my daughter was and have I ever considered her for modeling? She gave me a business number to call and talk to someone. I spoke to someon named HG Smith. That should have been my first sign that someone using their initials is maybe hiding who they are. After I left her, I was at the Food Court an hour later and here was the same woman giving the exact speech to someone else. My husband told me to walk away. But it was a "free evaluation" so what could I lose? I saw some outdated commercials & I met with this French woman and I don't mean to sound cruel, but my daughter was afraid of her. She's had so much surgery done to her face that she does not look normal. After I signed up for a small program (while trying to PUSH me on a bigger program), I relented as my daughter really wanted this as we were promised agents... big bookings... On and on it went. Whaty did we get? These highly skilled instructors were lousy. This HG Smith talk the class and kept mentioning "elocution," and Shakespeaing acting. She has a heavy French accent and wants to teach my child how to pronounce things? No qualifications whatsover to teach kids. She is like 70 years old and has no credentials. In doing a county background on this company through the hall of records, it is barely two years old yet her website claims 20 years. I was told by another Dad that the company filed for bankruptcy and the only reason he was there is because they too, paid and could not get their money back. They make such an air-tight contract, that you can't get your "money back," as they told me. It's been over a year. Commercials booked? Zero. Agent representation: Zero. Money we spent? $100's. Now that the dust has settled what have I learned? This "acting" school is anything but. I finally finished my daughters classes because I had to drag her to them. She hated them. Incredibly boring. A converted office space with no stage or lighting. A square classroom with chairs. Do not fall for this scam business. "Screen Actor LA" is more like "SCREAM ACTOR LA," because they forget who you are and you're left screaming in agony. Oh, google this womans alias Nadel Paris or Paris Nadel. I would never let my kid ever take classes with a senior citizen showing this kind of photos. Make your own decision. Do what I didn't do: Ask questions, ask for proof of this schools claim and ask to speak with former parent students. Never, ever again.
