In May 2018 I purchased about $71 worth of repair parts for a Chinese 50 cc scooter, in short I never got the parts, response to emails or tracking, an "item not received" filed with my Visa card and Paypal granted the merchant about 2 more weeks to respond to those, no response came and both cards credited my accounts back with the funds.
Since then I found numerous other scooter owners on scooter forums posted that likewise- they paid for parts they never received, some of these go back many months.
Some research on my part into the domain names of scrappydogscooters.com their "mobile friendly" site chinesescooterparts.com revealed a Richard (Rick) Main in Veyo NV owned them.
A state issued business license was obtained for Alchemy Motive/scrappydogsscooters/Rick Main
Then a recent find of an RnD Moto who claimed they simply purchased the inventory from Rick Main and were a "new" business brought about more evidence and more questions.
It was discovered that the "new" business license under the name of "RnD Moto" had "Rick Main" on it, further checking revealed the RnD Moto's own web sitedomain was registered in Mr Main's name, and last but not least, when PayPal refunded my money from the dispute I filed against scrappydogsscooters- has the name of the seller as "RnD Moto" with Richard Main, and his email address @ Alchemy.
During a FB messenger chat with a woman at RnD who asked me to remove my negative review was done about 8 days ago, on a Friday night I told her I would remove my review if she could provide documention proving her claims of simply buying INVENTORY from Mr Main, and showing to me that there is no connection to Mr Main, I.E. that he didn't simply move as people said he posted he planned to to Utah, and changed his business name. She never got back to me on that with any documentaion or response.
So far as all the evidence I uncovered shows, I find Richard (Rick) Main of Scrappydogsscooters.com et al also appears on Alchemy Motive' Nevada state business license and RnD Moto's officially issued Utah state business license, their domain registration through Godaddy.com and the Email/Paypal account used by him is the very one showing the seller was RnD Moto that Paypal refunded my money from.
It appears from all of those findings and documents that the whole thing was simply a business name change with the same man behind all of it- Rick Main/Scrappydogscooters
was ordering side covers for a friends moped thru paypal and scrappydogscooters anyway they got the payment Monday march 19th then I got little worried late in day there was no comfirmation thru them nor paypal so I contacted paypal they have a record money received from scrappy dog contacted scrappydog on Monday was told parts were on back order would be 3 weeks or more too receive them so I opted for a refund of my money from card was told it would take 3 days here it is Friday the 23rd I contacted them and spoke with someone that told me she would call back in couple hours time she never returned my call and when I tried calling them back several times it goes too there voicemail this sounds like a dishonest place of which too conduct business with I strongly urge anyone too stay away from scrappydogscooter parts
So, on Nov. 23, Mr. Main contacts me and pays his deposit to get his Scrappy Dog scooters website completely redesigned and updated with a fully mobile responsive design and better professional high end shopping cart software. I spent more then a week laying out the entire site, and got all the products he had on the site put into the new site. Everything was all good to go, I let him know. And for about a week and a half, I heard nothing. Then suddenly 1 day, we discoverd a chargeback on Mr. Mains account. For no reason what so ever. After we disputed the charge thru PayPal, PayPal found in our favor and our money was returned. Then how ever this crook calls up his credit card company and then authorizes a chargeback after 95% of the entire site was complete, and he still owed more then $500 on his account. At this point in time, after the charge backs, he owes us over $800. The invoice is attached, and this is fair warning to anyone else trying to do business with this guy, he will rip you off and defraud you out of your hard work and you won't get a thing to show for it.
