5/30/16 Took truck for brake pad's Scott Steven's said I needed complete brake repair ($1540.00) pads were put on this day. Then 6/6/16 too truck back for the major work they said I needed. After paying the ( 1540.00) a check brake soon light was on which the salesclerk stated that it may need to be driven a few days to synchronize & if it didn't go off they would order a sensor & would replace it. Took the tuck back on 6/9/16 replaced sensor said truck was fixed got in truck to come home light on and brakes didn't feel right. Lee Farmer said bring the truck back the next day. This went on from 6/6/16 them replacing parts 2 brake boosters, sensors, brake shoes twice because the cable would not hold the emergency brake, radio speakers stopped working, brakes felt spongy, they took the truck to 2 different shops Southside to put on a more expensive machine and Tec way to find the check brake light soon issue which I was told was bent wires by Lee Farmer.
Without my permission for the truck to be taken to these shops, but I felt ok Scott Stevens is trying to get my truck fixed right.
The other shops keeping the truck 2-5 days. Getting it back each time the issues stated above that was not corrected and Scott Stevens telling me the brakes were fine it was just a light issue that it had nothing to do with the brakes. this went on back and forth to Scott Stevens to repair the brake job each time getting the truck back with the same problems telling me to drive it and bring it back and they would get it fixed with me telling them I did not feel safe driving the truck which they tried to reassure me it was only a check brake soon light problem. ON Monday 7/11/16 after getting the truck back on 7/8/16 check brake light back on and taking it back to Scott Stevens the truck brakes were slow to stop making me almost run over Lee Farmers that was out front.
He threw his hands up and I am like I have both feet on the brakes. He was upset that I was back stating that he was going to fire the guy that worked on my truck and get his money back from Southside & Tec way since the issues weren’t fixed that it cost them 600.00 I told him I wanted my truck fixed and I didn’t feel safe, with him upset I brought the truck back again stating you either have brakes or you don’t. I said I just want them fixed right I almost ran over you. He made me feel like it had become a money issue with Scott Stevens having to pay others to try and find the problem that they could not correct themselves. Lee Farmer stated that the biggest issue was the check brake soon light coming on that the brake were fine. Scott Stevens took it to the dealership for check brake soon light they kept it 5 days. Getting it back on Friday 715/16 Brock Stevens told me to call one way or another if ant problems.
On 7/16/16 my son n law had taken the truck to get it washed/cleaned up and the brakes failed with check brake soon light on he had to get off the side of the highway to keep from getting hit head on with my grandson in my truck. I called Scott Stevens and Lee Farmer told me that they were done with the truck and me and was not going to do anything else. The truck was taken to Pep Boys they did a complete inspection, Brake booster had a broken part & missing screws in the back of the Booster, A broken pigtail part on booster that was glued on with glue, seal bad in the brake booster making brakes to fail, broken sensor missing with screws glued on. Brake pedal broken clamp that holds peddle on and a large bolt in place for the clamp.A part not even connected at all. Pictures were taken of what was found and repaired. Pep Boys repaired the brakes costing another 794.17.after a month and a half that Scott Stevens had the truck back & forth trying to fix the truck Pep Boys had the issues fixed and I have driven the truck to Destin Fla., I have not had any issues with the truck brakes or light. I tried to talk to Scott Stevens the owner and he told me he no longer handled anything that he was just there, that I would need to talk to Brock.
