My experience with athens ramseyer and sciential agency, was that they are very unprofessional and treat their cleints very disrespectfully. I paid them to work with my company as our marketing agency, to launch our new app and a few other projects.
Originally i paid them for their gtm report, which gave me hope that they can be a good fit to work with my company. Now i wish i could also change the upwork review that i provided, as the remaining experience was so horrendous, i don't want my name associated with them nor to mislead anyone to believe they are a good company, as they are not.
After i hired them and paid an additional $6000 This was the first month's fee), they very quickly showed they have no respect for their paying clients and not professional at all. The very first week of our working contract, they cancelled our weekly online meeting because i was a few minutes late This 5 minute cancellation policy was never communicated to me, in writing nor verbally before it was enforced).
They then proceeded to waste hours and days of my time, going back and forth on email about why they felt justified in cancelling our meeting, instead of just having the meeting. Thus showing how innefficient and unprofesional they are while also not having any respect nor regard for their clients time, energy, money, feelings, or needs.
The meeting was supposed to help them become more clear on the exact direction and designs, which from what they had presented to me, it was clear they did not have a good clear idea of the direction. So this meeting was instrumental to move forward, especially as it was the first week and we were still in the onboarding process.
Instead of being excited and / or enthusiastic about the meeting, to show they really did care about my company and our direction as a partnership and ally of our team, instead they cancelled it, and then wasted days of my time to prove their point about how much more important and/or valuable their time was than mine.
Then, the account manager assigned to my account quit, the first week. She said she was over loaded with too much work and could not handle it. So she literally quit the first week i was working with them.
Then i ended up talking with another member of their team, who is clearly the liason for when clients such as myself are dissatisfied from not being treated properly and who are asking for a refund, as i was.
The woman, elena, said this dissatisfaction from clieints is very common actually and happens a lot. That the owner athens is very hard to communicate with and to work with, even for their own staff, and the need for remediation is common for many clients that they work with.
I requested a refund several times, which they refused. They threated legal action saying i was tied to a 3 month contract and they would sue me for the 3 months payment if i tried to leave.
At that point, it was clear that their actions and lack of consideration for me and my brand, and my company and our needs was not a fit to work together.
After the meeting with elena, she said she would like to still work with my account and will compile a new team within their organization to work on my brand. I said i would consider working with them still, if they refund me As this first month was now completely gone) and i suggested that we start over on a clean slate, since the entire first month was completely wasted with no roi, no deliverables and nothing done on their part to show we would be a good fit to continue.
Then elena told me athens went to mexico on vacation for 2 weeks, and he refused to ever talk to me again or work on my account any more, while simulatneously saying i am tied to the contract and they will not release me from their contract and they are keeping my payment, although they deliver do anything so far in the first month.
I responded to elena saying, no i would not like to continue, i will file a dispute for the refund and i'm happy to file on scamion.com if they don't release me from this unhealthy contract and refund me.
Elena didn't respond to me again for 10 days.
10 days later, now the final week of our first month i paid for their agency fee $6000, they got back to me saying athens will not be working with my account, they had a new team that can move forward and they won't be refunding anything for this first month that they wasted of my time and money.
I responded saying, this is unacceptable, illegal & scandalaous behavior.
Still no response.
No communication.
No roi.
No deliverables.
Zero professionalim.
Zero integriy on their part.
So this is my last attempt to stand for truth and justice and not be bullied, nor have my money stolen or to be treated unprofessionally by sciential agency.
I highly discourage anyone from working with them.
They are not responsive.
They do not deliver.
They refuse to communicate.
Sciential agency is a dysfuncational company without any regard nor respect for their clients.
I don't take this lightly, as it is very rare for me to have this kind of experience. I like this website as it offers innocent people a place to speak up about the injustices that happen, without needing to go to court, hopefully.
