It had all started about 3 years when we had bought a house from Saratoga Builders in El Paso, Texas. About 2 days after we had moved in the ac was not working right and had complained, they had sent someone out to look at it, it was very low in freon. That was the start of my problems 5 times later in 3 years, the ac is not working again. This is still not fixed, so what do I have to do to get those fixed, do I need to get a lawyer and get this resolved. Or can Saratoga step up and make it rigjt and fix the ac. And look for the leak it has.
Litterally, they cant build a straight line. Litterally. They built my homes rear porch columns suspended in air, with the slab poured too short. I inspected the homes next door, and it's consistently off in all their construction. I looked further inside and the pantry walls were somehow made shorter than the floor plan, then they extended at an angle which left backsplash in awkward and obviously not flush to wall. I have never seen such sloppy, poor quality finishing. I think a 2 year old can build better homes than these guys. I can go on about how all their homes have the worst looking lawn, landscaping with mulch all over the walkways after the rain. They are so poorly designed, they should be shut down. I don't know how they are not embarrased to offer such a poor quality and finished product.
I am backing out of my contract and letting my earnest money go. It's not worth buying a home that has so many construction errors, and poor quality.
They are a waste of time. And the sales associates also felt embarrased too when I pointed out all these things. I asked them how management feels about delivering work that is well below the competition and they said, "our owner says we are a 'quality' builder and bashes all other home builders thinking he's actually better."
Basically, the owner is deluded, along with the management of this company surely headed for bankruptcy. I have never ever ever seen such a crappy, sloppy job and then be defended by the company. You all have been warned. You will notice these things as your home is built. You will ask yourself. How the hell did they not notice, it's embarrasing.
And I met the Project Manager -I think his name is Miguel Hernandez. A little fat guy. who instead of managing the project better was out with a realtor showing the homes. And the sales manager Alex Vazquez or something like that who I complained to had such bad English, that I didn't get anywhere. I don't know where they hire their people but it's just as bad. I think he said, nothing was wrong. I was exagerrating according to him.
What a miserable place from top-ownership to management, to the building itself. This company I dont think can be around in a years time. IT's just that bad. IT's unbeliveable what poor craftsmanship they produce.
It's your choice of course, but I couldn't be paid enough to live in one of those terribly built homes. I'd pass on it even if it was free. And pay for that quality? Give me a break.
