Received a mailer from Sansone 66 Automall in Neptune City, NJ which appears to apply to other Sansone Automall locations. Mailer has a plane textcode and a scratch off area. If one displays a match in codes from the scratch off area and the plane text code, a table to the right of the scratch off purports to show the prizes won.
In our case the numbers matched and the prize in the table was shown to be a 70" TV. In the area below the plane text code and scratch off area there is text that says that if the codes match call a telophone lumber listed and give the confirmation code listed.
We did that and were instructed to schedule a visit to the dealer outsde the date range specified on the flyer. We went by the dealer during the date range instead and found that the matching codes were totally bogus and that the prize key index was the confirmation number and not the matching codes.
The use of the confimation code as the prize index was nowhere mentioned in the flyer. Presumably we defaulted to a $100 gift card that is supposed to be mailed to us in a couple of weeks.
This was a really stupid play on their part and appears designed to alienate, no gain customers.
