Think twice about a Hunter Jumper/Western Pleasure Boarding Barn in South West Las Vegas called Sandstone Stables. I used to board at her barn in Mountains edge area. She is now close to Arville and Blue Diamond area. Audrey Sides is the trainer who rents some property to run her training & boarding stable business but horses are not well taken care of. Horses are not fed well or fed consistently. There are empty water buckets all the time and stalls are never ever cleaned. Board fees and payments for other services (turnout blanketing etc) are greedily taken but services paid for are rarely, if ever, done. Barn is dirty, people are not polite or professional. Not a great place for you, your children or your horses to be. Quite a few people board there and then leave soon after. I have a friend who just left that barn due to lack of care and treatment of her horses and can't say i didnt tell her so. When I was there my horse lost so much weight. He was completely emaciated. There were also dead chickens in the waterers, never fed my supplements, didn't get lessons I paid for. You will get the same story from most people who have been there. Audrey also has a very bad temper and tends to drink. If you mention lack of feed or water watch out. She is very confrontational. Again, not a nice, relaxing place to be. She takes your money and then does nothing. Unfortunately your horses will suffer under her care.
