I agreed to have JJ Sandlin of the Sandlin Law firm ( don't let this fool you, he had an assistant that he found at Petco) handle my legal case for me.
Despite signing a "work contract" up front agreeing to resolve my case for a flat fee, this fradulant huckster would wait till I was needing the case moved forward, then shake me down for more money.
To make matters worse, he spent more time digging himself out of the holes that he created by not filing pleadings on time, not showing up for hearings altogether ( he would always blame the opposing counsel for misleading him about an agreed continuance, court personel for not bumping the hearings etc), then he used the fact that there was extra work to hassle me for more money, despite the fact he had been paid in full per our written work agreement.
When I refused to give into further extortion of funds ( I was warned by one of his staff that he wasn't putting any work into my case) He quit.
I've since reviewed his reviews online, and I see it's just the way he does business.
Buyer beware in dealing with the Sandling Lawfirm from Yakima Washington, he will quit your case and then no real attorney's will take it leaveing you worse off than having no representation at all. You are better off asking the court for more time to afford a real attorney than giving JJ Sandlin any money.
Also, don't believe them if they tell you it's a flat rate, he will start shaking you down in no time as soon as you ask him to do any work.
