Complaints: Do not hire Kenneth Wallace. If you do you will regret. It was our biggest mistake, one which we have to live with for the rest of our lives. We hired Kenny from SandCastle Coastal Homes aka SandCastle Ventures Inc to build our house. Charged contractor prices but hired poorly skilled handymen workers from Craiglist. When each job is completed he wants to be paid ASAP even before inspection or he will threaten to walk out on the job. Then upon inspection, we find that job has many issues/problems but it will be very, very, very difficult to get him to correct the issues/problems he had created. His quality of work is sloppy, sub par and unprofessional. After a year, we are still waiting for him to correct the problems he had created or pay us so we can hire someone else to fix the issues. We have texted, emailed, called but to no avail. He is not a hands-on contractor but portrays himself as one who knows his stuff. He is learning as he goes along and you do not want to hire a contractor who is using you as a guinea pig. He says he has every intention to honor the signed agreement and we are still waiting for him to correct the issues on our house. Please, my advice to anyone planning on hiring him. Stay away from him with a 10 feet pole! You will not regret by doing so.
Part of the new build construction project at Indian Rocks Beach (est $300K) was using the selected contractor (Sandcastle Coastal Homes) for an initial small roof & ceiling repair job. This initial job did not go well. They required $1,500 full payment in advancet, completed 1/4 of the job, left no materials and never returned to complete the work. I am now out additional funds with no product. Very grateful I did not sign the pre-construction contract to build and incur worse financial hardships. I would never recommend this contractor. The construction contracts provided to me for signature with initial downpayment for new build did not even have the construction company responsible parties name listed. Only my name as accountable for the project funds. No contractor was names as accountable for the build project. I would like to share these contracts as examples of the unethical business practice. I am optimistic that I will eventually find a reputable honest home builder in Pinellas County FL.
