Sam Jones called me in January, 2018 because I filed to run for the US House of Representatives in Kentucky. He is a fundraiser for campaigns. We talked a few times, I asked him to send me a contract for services, and he did. I agreed & signed it on January 12, 2018. I paid the $1,000 setup fee, which covered the first month, using PayPal. He promised to send me a list of at least 250 potential donors per month with their correct phone numbers.
He became impossible to reach, refused & failed to do anything, so I canceled the contract on Jan. 19, after leaving him numerous emails & phone messages. I disputed it via PayPal, but he told them enough lies to get them to drop the case. Over a month later, he sent me a database file with some names, but no phone numbers. I said I had no use for it & demanded my $1,000 back for breach of contract. I said in my 2/19/18 phone message that I didn't trust a word he said & I would never do business with him. He has not responded since 2/19/18, except possibly to tell more lies to PayPal.
I did a transfer of funds - $1,000 - from my credit union here in Lexington, Kentucky to Sam Jones in Garland, TX. PayPal did the funds transfer.
