Saks Fifth Avenue Reviews
My wife purchased 3 dresses from Saks 5th Ave NYC. Within an hour of the sale, she contacted, let’s call him Chris the commissioned salesperson @SaksNYC, to cancel one Prada dress from the order. Chris, replied that he cannot remove it as ‘it is already at shipping’.
Upon receipt of the dress, my wife immediately asked for a return courier label, but Chris, the commissioned salesperson, ignored various messages and only sent the label 5 days later. My wife then sent back the dress and expected full credit. Chapter should have been closed.
Unfortunately, 3 weeks after returning the respective dress, we received notice from Chris, the commissioned salesperson, that Prada/Saks refuses to credit us the $3,200 for the dress as ‘it is damaged’.
Now looking at the history, my wife canceled the dress the same day, never wore the actual dress and immediately requested a return label. Chris, the commissioned salesperson, on the other hand insisted on sending the dress, delayed issuing a return label and had possession of the dress for 3 weeks (who knows how many people handled the dress during this term) before notifying us of a rejection of the return.
That is does fraud 101. On top of all this, Saks/Prada then sent the dress back to us in a box that looked like it went thru a tumble dryer.
My recommendation is that everyone thinks three times before purchasing items from Saks/Prada. The NYC store may have the prestigious 5th Avenue in their name, but they run their operation like a Shuk vendor. I also learned that this is not an isolated incident, as others went thru similar cases.
Thankfully, I have texts of all the exchanges as well as pictures of the damaged box sent by Saks.
I made a purchase on Saks Fifth Avenue on January 29th 2020. During the check out process, I encounter an issue that I could not apply a promotion code, this promotion code is “SHOPSF”,it takes $100 off after $300 purchase. I asked their representative, an assistant online named Oscar helped me. I’m planing to have a new account and apply the promotion code, but he said I can go ahead make the purchase, and he will issue a gift card later on.
I have our chat history saved. But after few months I receive items, i still haven’t received anything regarding the $100 gift card they promised me. They have different excuse every time I call them. First, they’re saying they gonna issue a gift card, but they didn’t. Second, they’re saying they already issued me a refund, but I don’t see any transactions in my account. Last time I called, they said the promotion already applied on my order, but that is not the truth.
I have an order canceled previously which has the code applied, it says the code is applied, but not the order with issues. I don't know why they're saying this, but they're not honest to their customers.
The management of this store is shameful and embarrassing. First, do not waste your time applying for a job at this store if you are an intelligent, attractive woman who dresses very nice and small to average in size. Given these positive attributes, the managers, especially Tonya, will not hire you. In fact, she will bad mouth you. This is what happened to me and the HR manager did not have the respect to notify me as to the status of my interview, after stating that she would do so.
Secondly, after learning that there is a very bad culture and abysmal historic practice of racially profiling and placing black customers under surveillance, I want nothing to do with this store on any level. I feel sorry for people like Tonya whose narrowly poor skill set and education limit them to working in a retail store along side college kids and for an hourly wage. I am a real estate investor now and had it not been for the terrible experience at this store, I might not have refocused my efforts.
If it were not for the fact that Saks Fifth Avenue owns their space and operates separate from the rest of the mall, it more than likely would have closed as many stores continue to do so at Triangle Towne Center.
