They scratched paint on everything they touched and left bloody finger prints on the inside of glass. According to the Mercedes Benz dealer, Safelite installed the glass too low and it sticks up off the car too much. They didn't install the trim properly leaving gaskets to allow water to get underneath them. Top gasket holds water. The wiper sensor wouldn't work and a manager told me to drive the car faster and it would make the wipers come on.
I took his advice and nearly hit a big truck head on in the rain because he was wrong and driving faster didn't make the wipers come on. The dealership says the windshield and damaged trim will need to be replaced. DO NOT use Safelite, they are using inexperienced people who work too fast and it will only cause you additional problems. One thing to note, there should not be fingerprints on the glass as you're supposed to wear gloves when installing windshields, otherwise the glue won't adhere to the glass as a result of body oils from fingers, hence the bloody finger print left behind.
Using a gap tool, the dealership found too much of a gap around the windshield after Safelite did the work. Don't fall for their lifetime warranty because they will only ignore you once they get your money.
I'll have to file a lawsuit against them since they like doing these things to people but I wanted to warn the public because after investigating them further, there are complaints on their BBB listing that get posted nearly on a daily basis. Safelite has caused over $6000 worth of damage to my car according to the dealership estimate I got to fix it.
