This company purports to do online reputation management and removal of personal information from data companies online. I signed up and got four immediate repairs, one of which i had to pay an addl five buck to have my data removed. I logged out, and logged back in the next day. I recieved an " Were Overloaded Come Back Later Message. " five days later, this message still shows when i login, however the sign up page is weoking JUST FINE. Ive charged this back against my credit card and have a new card issued. DO not do business with this company.
Safe Shepherd, an alledged internet privacy company, appeared to be totally legit & positively reviewed so I completed the on-line application & soon thereafter $95 was deducted from my bank account for a year of monitoring & removal of personal info from internet. Soon thereafter, I received a "welcome to Safe Shepherd email from "James." ..apparently the "go to" guy should concerns arise & arise they did. Problem is, once I paid, James became totally unresponsive despite numerous emails. Maybe James is a phantom. Could their system seriously be down for two months?, SafeShepherd had my $95 & I got NOTHING in return.
Safe Shepherd appears maddingly impossible to contact. Calling "customer service", a number gleaned from google, rendered an odd, generic recording saying the "person" ( no company ID) I was calling was unavailable so I left a message , but given their absent communication skills, don't anticipate a reply. - the only alledged email is [email protected], but it appears they post those emails publically...totally contradictory. Log in is via facebook- again public I suspect ( I'm not into social media so not sure).
I guess the lesson here is NEVER subscribe to any internet service which fails to provide contact information.
I signed up with Safe Shepherd several years ago. They did what they promised until just over a year ago, when they stopped providing service. They still charged me a monthly fee, even though they ceased providing service. Ironic that a company I was paying monthly to help protect my privacy on the Internet ended up charging my credit card for services they did not provide. I tried to contact them via email and got no response. I ended up cancelling my debit card to stop the charges. Bad experience. No recourse for me.
