Rusty Eck Ford Reviews

My daughters car needed some recall work done on the transmission. Should have been covered work but they cited a technicality and forced us to pay for the work. Ford sold a car they admitted was faulty. But Rusty Eck didn't care about that or making it safe for my daughter to drive. They did give us a $130 off which is less than a 10% discount.

They give non-loyal customers bigger discounts than that for stupid things like oil changes. They had a lot of options for how to handle this. Rusty Eck chose to make us pay to repair a defective car. That tells me everything I need to know. There are a lot of choices for car repairs. We're going back to Mel Hambleton. And we're both looking at new cars next year. They will not be Fords.

Don't sign up for tires for life at Rusty Eck Ford, it's bullshit. No where in my contract with Rusty Eck did it specify any rules or regulations for tires for life. I had my car service by them for 8 years and 1 set of tires replaced. This year I needed a new set so I contacted them to schedule an appointment to have new tires and told them I had "tires for life". The lady laughed and said very few people still have that. I told her I did. She then informed me because I did not have my radiator flushed and other engine work done that my contract was null and void. What does engine work and flusing have to do with tires? Again, no where in my contract was this noted. They are rude and I will never do business with them again. Buyers beware!!!!

Received an email from Rusty Eck where we had purchased our last vehicle. They said we were approved for a ford customer certified car buyback. We had our car for almost 2 years was happy with it but was excited to hear we could buy a 2016 which was 5 years newer! I called to make sure it was a legit email and spoke to Kendal James a car salesman who said it was to come on down! I told him over the phone we lived a hour away and I wanted to make sure we had no problems. He assured me there was none! He told me everything was approved over the phone which they had all our info from our precious purchase from them. We picked our car online and asked to make sure it was all done before we got there so all we had to do was sign! He called us back after running our information and said he had us financed and to come on down. So we did. Was told Ford was going to finance us gave our down payment which was our old car trade in and 500 cash.we drove home and ten days later Jeremy Reeder called and said ford decided not to finance us? We were ok now what? He said not to worry they found another lender and needed just 500 more. And to sign new contract our payment would go up a few dollars. So we came back down and put 500 more down! We had the car 20 days was told Forsight was Goin to finance us. We received a call from that company welcoming us to them said we'd receive our coupon payment packet and we should receive them in a bout a week. Never received them so we contacted them to find out they didn't have us as a customer to contact the dealership. So we did to find out that company changed their mind! Rusty Eck said not to worry about it from the finance director Wayne Trent. He said not to worry about it this happens all the time! And he would get us financed, they were not asking for the car back! We was still worried though! Sept 23 after having the car for 33 days Wayne called and asked for the car back! It wasn't going to workout! We had the windows tinted our down payment we were out of! Upon showing our receipts for our down payment which we had to prove they didn't show our full amount we put down! The gave us our 1000 back and said sorry won't give you back the money for the windows!! So we are out not only a new car but almost 400 for window tint! While at the dealership they had to find our car, and lost all our keys but one set! They did find our car and made new keys, while we waited longer to get our car back than to purchase it! We have two contracts with them and had the car for 34 days total! Waiting to get or old car a lady was experiencing the same thing! She was crying her eyes out was a student and had no way getting home! At least they took her home in car they took from her!! Very upset! Waist of my time! Called and left messages with the people in charge still haven't received a call back! This should be illegal for car dealerships to do this!

On Dec 27, 2013 I leased a 2014 Ford Focus from Rusty Eck Ford in wichita ks. It has been almost exactly 20 months through my lease. In the first 16 months the car was taken to service to have transmission fixed 3 times, the sync system fixed 5 times, the steering control module replaced once, and the cover seals on engine all had to be replaced on account car was leaking oil. As of June 25, 2015 I was told the entire engine needs to be replaced. They even sent a specialist from Kansas city who said there is a foreign contamination, some kind of moisture that got in the oil and is causing engine to rust. Rusty Eck said that wasn't covered by warranty so I asked my car insurance. They can't help because it was not in a flood. I returned to Rusty Eck and they told me I would have to pay myself. I refused and towed car home.

I sought help at BBB, but a technicality kept me from winning at arbitration. So again I have been bugging Rusty Eck to make this right. So far I get nothing but slammed doors. I have contacted by email the district attorney, channels 10 & 12. While waiting for responses I have made the last 4 car payments on time and in full so my credit stays intact. I have also had to keep paying for full coverage insurance on the car. At the end of June after towing the car home I had to go buy another car to drive. The Focus is not drivable. It sits in my driveway. I purchased a 1994 Geo Metro which is what I could afford on short notice. So I drive a 22 yr old go-cart while I pay almost $350 a month for a brand new car that is now driveway art. If anyone asks I tell them run as far and as fast as you can from Rust Eco Ford!!!!!!
