This forum has to be a magnet for sycophants and toadies.
The forum does or did have a section entitled, "Mine Field" where a variety of non firearm subjects are be discussed but entry into that section is carefullly regulated and subject to approval by forum moderators.
The moderators do walk a fine line between free speech and screening out comments that exceed common good taste to the degree of obscenity but lack the skills to perfrom that function. My guess is that modrators have little or no communication skills and possibly, the parent company, Verical Scope or Verticalscope sets sets policy.
As annoying as this forum is in regard to arrogance, snarky responses, fake information, made up solutions, general stupidity, and specualtive guidance some the stuff presented might hurt real bad real quickly or months or years later.
A forum moderator, Lowegian, "wings it" by providing fake info that is pure speculation ie. inspection of 100's of primers claiming that "nada" had protruding anvils. Crazy ballistic info is common. Choking up when asked to provide documentation then reacting by banning or suspension. Ignorance about annealing - claiming insider info but never any documentaion. Hiding behind fake awards.
Don't believe everything you read on-line - read a good publication like Rifle or Handloader or the text in the Hornady and Berger manuals and quickly dump rugerforum.net (ruger forum.net) for what it is - a shabby low level avenue for hostility.
