EXTORTION, is a criminal offense of obtaining money, property, or services from a person, entity, or institution, through coercion. Extortion involves the verbal or written instillation of fear that something will happen to the victim if they do not comply with the extortionist's demands. BLACKMAIL, always involves extortion. In blackmailing, the extortionist threatens to reveal information about a victim or their family members that is potentially embarrassing, socially damaging, or incriminating unless a demand for money, property, or services is met. ROBBERY, whether armed or not, the offender takes property from the victim by the immediate use of force or fear that force will be immediately used.
Vendetta Motion Pictures is in the movie making business.
It retained RS Studio to help create promotional posters, promotional videos and a website, collateral to the prospective movie, Blue Suede. After several months of payments for services rendered, Vendetta sought an accounting invoice from RS Studio (regarding work performed, money paid and billing information as none had been provided by the Studio). At that point, it was understood that payment had been paid to date for promotional posters, promotional videos, and website for the movie Blue Suede. Without providing any accounting, Russell Shippee of RS Studio then demanded a single payment of $26,000.
RS Studio has refused to provide any information or accounting of how it arrived at that figure. Depending on the day, and despite the fact that Mr. Shippee has done no further work for Vendetta, he has claimed the debt is $20,000, also $24,000 also $26,000 as well as $32,000. It seems that he cannot figure out his own accounting, yet demands we paying him.
As information requested was not produced by RS Studio, weekly payments by Vendetta Motion Pictures LLC to RS Studio stopped. Vendetta Motion Pictures LLC presented two written contracts to RS Studio in order to clarify the relationship. Both contracts were rejected by Russell Shippee. Thereafter, Russell Shippee wrote many threatening statements to Vendetta Motion Pictures. For example: "as I told you, you have 24 hours .... I will destroy you on social media, that's my backyard; you don't know who you are f---ing with." "After the 24 hours you are f---ing done." "You(r) a*s is done I will f--k you harder then you will know." Mr. Shippee has since taken control of the Blue Suede website, locking Vendetta Motion Pictures out of the website.
Based on Mr. Shippee’s numerous threatening words and his actions, it is quite clear that Mr. Shippee of RS Studio and Boost Media Marketing is attempting to commit EXTORTION, BLACKMAIL and ROBBERY to Vendetta Motion Pictures LLC.
Subsequently, Vendetta Motion Pictures LLC hired attorney Robert Stowe or about August 13, 2014. Mr. Shippee then identified his attorney as George N. Asack, Jr. of Asack & Asack, 95 West Elm Street, Brockton, MA 02301. On August 14, 2014, Attorney Stowe placed a phone call to attorney Asack. Attorney Asack informed Attorney Stowe that contrary to claims by Mr. Shippee, he had not been retained by Mr. Shippee or RS Studio or Boost Media Marketing.
Mr. Shippee became hostile on the phone when Attorney Stowe requested his address so he could communicate on a formal level. Mr. Shippee then provided an address of 26 Breakwater Cove, Chelsea, Massachusetts. This turned out to be a bogus address (See Certified RR 7014 0510 0000 4879 2718). When confronted with this wrong address on August 18, 2014, Mr. Shippee confirmed that the address was incorrect and he did not live there. Mr. Shippee’s response was, "There is no law that says I have to tell you where I live or work." As a matter of law, Vendetta Motion Pictures LLC does need this information to accurately file tax returns. Upon research, RS Studio is not a valid corporation, thus Mr. Shippee's personal information is required.
Despite Mr. Shippee’s claims to the contrary, he does not hold copyrights to any of the promotional posters, promotional videos, or website for the movie Blue Suede. According to the US Copyright Office electronic Public Copyright Catalog (website), as of September 05, 2014, Russell Shippee, RS Studio, or Boost Media Marketing does not hold Copyrights to any Blue Suede or Vendetta Motion Pictures materials.
In the interim we have learned a reason why Mr. Shippee may not want to be located. On August 28, 2014 Attorney Stowe spoke with Russell Shippee’s Probation Officer, Mr. Robert Watson in Hillsborough County Florida. The Probation Officer confirmed that Mr. Russell Shippee has an outstanding felony arrest warrant for a violation of his probation stemming from a felony criminal action in Hillsborough District Court, Docket # 07CF-011213. Mr. Shippee also has a second outstanding felony arrest warrant in Hillsborough District Court, Docket #07CF-019346. Additionally, Mr. Shippee has two outstanding arrest warrants in Massachusetts. The first stems from a recent criminal case filed in Salem District Court, Docket #1436CR000675. The second stems from a criminal case in Charlestown District Court, Docket #1304CR000374.
Mr. Russell Shippee of RS Studio and Boost Media Marketing currently has four outstanding warrants that we know of. Additionally, he is currently classified as a Fugitive in the state of Florida.
Consumers, PLEASE be very aware of Russell Shippee of RS Studio and Boost Media Marketing. Vendetta Motion Pictures is working very hard, and through the proper and legal channels to find him to resolve the issue at hand, and to bring him to justice
