Rowan Bengals Reviews

I saw the complaint aginst these Alabama cat breeders and i thank the person, because it made me realise that i need to say something also. I am so angry at this cat breeder, so I have to calm myself to type this.

I found this cat breeder on the internet. I could only find an email address on the web site for Rowan Bengals no phone. When I aslked to visit I was not allowed. I also could not find many other bengal cats in my area. So I contacted the breeder and I got an email from josh. He types long emails and it seemd to tell me that he was practically the creator of the bengal cat. I asked when i could come over to meet the kittens with my son, and he said nobody is ever allowed to visit. I thought that was my first thing that worried me, but again, this was one of the only breeders I could find

when the time came to get my little girl kitten i got an email that said i needed to meet at the marathon gas station and bring cash. So i went and met him, he was there with a woman and a small child but they stayed in his car. Now I could go over all the probelms with seeing him, and his filthy appearance and the rusty cat carrier he had the kitten in, but I will save it. So I took the kitten home.

I had a veteriarian appointment scheduled forn the next day and i was glad because overnight the kitten cried and cried, and did not eat. It did have some very bad smelly poop I kept my appointment and My vet was shocked, I could tell he was trying to not show me. the kitten was very sick and had runny eyes and nose. My vet told me to give lysine becasue he said he suspected the kitten has herpes. The word herpes scared me but the vet said many cats have it, especially from big cat breeding places. the vet said my klitten was having trouble breathing because of the herpes. the vet asked me why don't I just return the cat. I said i did not want to. he then noticed the kitten had dairhhea - a little bit was dripping out of its backside and some on her fur and he got a sample.

about a week later the vet called to tell me that the little kitty had a bad parsite, and I had to come back to get a percripstion and would need to take it to a pharmacy to get made up.

Right after the vet visit I sent an email to Josh, and I heard nothing back. I sent many emails, and never had any answered. if i knew where he lived In would have went there. never an answer. This was in 2015. My kitten is much better now, and the herpes does not flare up very much. It took a long time to stop the diearrhea, and sometimes she still has some. It was very stressful for me and the cat.

do not listen to this cat salesman when he talks about his cats and his great experience. Josh knows this is true!!

I had a terrible experience getting a bengal from Josh Dabbs (he uses the name Joshua Z Dabbs) in Alabama. I was not allowed to go to his house to get the cat, and we only communicated by email. So on the day of pick up Josh met me to deliver my cat at the Walmart Super Center parking lot. I thought that was odd, but he explained it by saying his house was being renovated. My first thought was the kitten looked so small and sickly. And it did not have the beautiful spots or shiny coat that I saw in pictures.

Josh assured me the cat was fine, and was just nervous. I paid him and left with my kitten. Well that was the last I heard or saw Josh Dabbs. The kitten immediately threw up in the carrier on the way home. And then had some pretty bad Diarrhea in the carrier. I started to think I had made a big mistake. I took the kitten home and worried about it all night.

The next day I took the kitten to a veterinarian. the vet was worried and gave the kitten fluids under the skin. He sold me some eye ointment, and gathered some stool smaple when he took the kitten in the backroom. He said it was good that I brought tha kitten in becase it had giardia and a bad upper respiratory infection. He also found ear mites.

I got home and emailed Josh. He never returend an email. and I had no phone number for him. And of course I did not know where he lived other than Pell City Alabama. My advice is get your bengal somewhere else. My kitten eventually recovered but now he is very underzed and sickly.
