Roscoe Properties just bought the apartments (Deerfield) I have lived in for almost 3 years. Less than a month after buying them they are suspending many of the convienient services that were provided by the previous company. They are also trying to pass tennative rules regarding rent payment. Including charging infamous "convienience fees" for every method of payment, excluding a direct route with a bank account. Roscoe Properties is a sub-par company who provides as little service as possible. All the while trying to charge you with various extra expenses. In less than 2 months Roscoe Properties have made living in these once convenient apartments an annoying ordeal. Avoid signing any binding contract with this company at all costs. If you are unfortunate enough to have a contract that is bought by this company, good luck.

Roscoe Management took over my apartments in July. Things have deterorated since then. They have already had more than 1 manager and people are moving out way more than moving in. On of the first things they did was do away with this being a gated community. Then they decided everyone had to pay on line. First month I tried and something went wrong, I was issued an eviction notice. So went in and had them make sure my info was correct.

Shortly after they came to my door with an eviction notice, Apparently they had neglected to tell me that it took a while for the automatic deduction to work. Thus I gave her a check. Next month they took out rent and cable but forgot to take out water. I went in before end of month but no one was there to talk to. Went back in a few days later and the man working there looked at my account and said it was all paid. I received yet another eviction notice as my check supposedly had bounced. I have over draft protection.

I was told it bounced because my bank info was wrong. Said I had to have changed it. When I refirmly stated I did not change it and there was other things that could have happened to cause this even suggesting my account could have been compromised as I had been locked out of my account for a couple of weeks eventhough I tried to get them to fix that.

Manager told me I was insulting her intelligence because she had a college degree and was not stupid. I asked for her boses name and phone number but would probably not do any good to try calling as most of time calls were redirected to her.

In addition they have let exterior lighting bulbs go out in several areas. I asked for my stairways to be light as lights are out there and I can not see bottom step but so far no luck on that.

Before Roscoe took over I asked for them to find out what was eating my window in my bedroom. Whatever it is still continues to eat away. I have filed several requests but no luck in getting rid of whatever it is.

I moved in last of March. My microwave sparked and I asked to have it repaired. Was told nothing was wrong with it. Handle broke off under new management and so asked and asked and asked and finally got a replacement micowave that is at least 30 years old. They are not putting in microwaves in units where people move out so did not feel obligated to give me a decent microwave.

Sign says office is open 9-6 yet often times there is no one to help with anything by time I get home from work at 4:00,
