I bought a Trailmaster RV at Ron Hoover, Boerne. During the inspection I noticed the shower head was not well attached to the wall and asked the serviceman to tighten it. He did. By the time I got home, it had come loose again so I tightened it and noticed it was flimsily attached by two screws to unsupported 1/8 panelling, as was the faucet that controls the water flow. All plumbing is flimsily attached to 1/8" panelling. I contacted the salesperson and the serviceman with my concerns and sent photos/videos. The salesperson completely ignored my emails, and the service-person made condescending remarks about my diagnosis of the problem. A week later this same salesperson stated the manufacturer would not be responsible for repairs since it was not a design flaw (actually it is horribly poor workmanship). I spoke to his supervisor and he complained about how expesnive it would be for him to have to make the repair since the manufacturer wouldn't warranty the prodcut.
I started leaving reviews and contacted the BBB about both Ron Hoover and the manufacturer. Both have ignored, at this point, my concerns voiced through the BBB. The manager DID call and told me to bring it in at my own cost and they would 'see what they could do.' Since they already sent me home knowing the shower head attachment was defective/substandard, I did not trust that my time, energy, and cost of towing the RV back was worth it.
I modified the shower head to make it sturdy and usable. Will soon hire a repairman to come out and make the bathroom plumbing strudy, meanwhile asking through BBB for compensation.
My latest problem is that I find everytime I shower, the water hits the wall, then flows onto the floor, and floods the interior of the RV, again due to a design flaw that forces water against a wall rather than into the stall. I have already endured their condescension about not knowing what I'm talking about and do not care to go through that again with their rude serviceman and supervisor. I will now make some more modifications to stop the flow of shower water onto the floor.
I started making this modification when I noticed that the area between the tub and wall is not caulked well enough to stop water from flowing behind the wall and underneath the tub. Another design flaw, which I would imagine they would condescend that it wasn't really a design flaw. I am now in the process of applying a decent coating of caulk along all seams, which, in my opinion, should have been included in the $15,000 price I paid for this piece of poor workmanship.
Ron Hoover does not stand behind the prodcut they sell, they condescend and use the old 'gaslighting' method to make a customer feel like an idiot for pointing out defects in workmanship. I am now hiring an RV repair person to come out and assist me in making things right. Ron Hoover doesn't feel an obligation to make things right by providing a serviceman to resolve these issues.
