Maxwell Rothaus, 36, of Medford, punched, kicked and shoved during an altercation with multiple people on New York Avenue and Elm Street and resisted arrest, police said. After he was arrested, while at the precinct, Rothaus gave police a false name and fought with officers while they attempted to search him, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct: fight/violent behavior, resisting arrest, second-degree obstruct governmental administration and false personation on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29, police said.
