I flew to Cortez to bring home a Biewer Terrier from breeders Jared and Karen Hansen on Thursday, March 22. The puppy was coughing, but they assured me that it was simply a reaction to a bordetella vaccine they had given it the day before. They gave me two antibiotic pills to give the puppy over the next two days.
I took the puppy to my vet the next day on Friday, March 23. He said the puppy was not reacting to a bordetella shot but instead was ill with bronchitis. In other words, Karen and Jared Hansen lied to me about the health of the puppy I bought from them. My vet has been treating the puppy for the last two weeks and the puppy is not recovering.
I take the puppy to the vet every day. The vet even opened his office on Easter after church to treat the puppy. I have called and texted Karen and Jared Hansen, but they do not answer my calls nor respond to my texts.
I purchased an Alaskan Malamute puppy from Rocky Mountain Biewer Terriers/ Rocky Mountain Malamutes. 10 hours after picking it up at the airport it had a grand mal then severe seizures. It was midnight and we had the vet telling us what to do. It died from extreme low blood sugar. They said spend hundreds of dollars on a necropsy and maybe they would replace it, or not.
This matter was resolved by the breeder and the complaint should be removed.

We bought an Alaskan Malamute puppy from Rocky Mountain Malamutes in Dolores Colorado. The pup was flown in and on Saturday July 20 at 2 PM we got him as the plane landed. 10 hours later the puppy woke from sleep having a terrible seizure. He stopped breathing twice but we revived him. It was midnight so we called the vet and told him what was happening.
He said it was low blood sugar. Get sugar in him. He was unconscious so we were told to rub it on his lips and gums. We did for 30 minutes but he died anyway. When I contacted the breeder he said we should have known when we saw him. Apparently the pup never had a thorough exam by a vet in his life. Breeder said too bad, thats just how it is.

She sent me a sick puppy. Sir jacob was sick the minute he got off the plane. He had vomit and bloody diarrhea and he was lethargic. My vet picked him up at my home within a few hours and took him to his veterinary hospital. He died 3 days later at my vets home. We did an autopsy on sir jacob and says he had heavy growth of klebsiella pneumonia. She sent me a sick puppy and he died 3 days later. She has offered me nothing. Not a replacement or my money back. Im in the process of taking her to court. She does not treat people good. Shes very cold hearted. She does everything she can not to pay you or give you a replacement. After a month of sir jacob being dead she said she wanted his body for her vet to do autopsy when she knows he was cremated, and how sick that is for her to ask for a dead puppy back after a month.She has blocked me where i cant talk to her about this replacement or money back.
I will let my lawyer handle it from here.

I received sir jacob january 31, 2018 at 11 oclock at night and he passed away at february 4, 2018 at my vets home at 5:30 in the morning. He took him home so he could watch him closely as he was passing away. This hasn't just hurt me. It has affected everyone that has help save him to. All of scott veterinary was affected by it. Sir jacob was in veterinary care almost the whole time besides the few hours i had him here waiting on my vet. This klebsiella pneumonia is highly contagous to and she new i had other babies in the house. Thank goodness i know to separate and all my babies are pretected or it would have been a really bad nightmare. I did all i could do to save sir jacob and so did my veterinary.I wish i could bring him back but i cant. Im still so heart broken. Now he sits on my fire place mantel. Something that could have been prevented if she didn't put him on a airplane in cargo sick. I also gave her autopsy with my vets report on the front page.
So don't be fooled when she says i didnt. Also va. Tech sent her a copy where they done the autopsy with vet report on front page. I paid 3000.00 for sir jacob and have alot in vet bills for him. She hasn't offered me anything. Not a replacement or money back. Her contract is fake and she is a rip off. She will not refund or replace. Buyer beware !! and another thing, she never once told me she was sorry for my loss. Instead she acused me of killing him. What a heartless person she is. I done everything i could to save him and so did my vet. And now she threatens to sue me for posting this review. I don't wont this to happen to anyone else ever again. Also he looked nothing like the pictures on her web site.
He was suppose to be black, white and gold and he didn't have any gold what so ever on him. He was black and white only. That is fraud. Also she is importing these puppies and selling them before they are 6 months of age. Sir jacob looked like he was 5 weeks old. Buyer beware !! rocky mountain biewer terriers are also on the list for fraud and fake reviews on google, 2 complaints showing on bbb and other. They are ripping people off on 3 different web sites, rocky mountain biewer terriers, rocky mountain pomeranians, and rocky mountain malamutes. She also goes by karen becker. Read the bad reviews.
