When signing up for "Rockstar" I thought it was too good to be true! I filled out the application and a couple days later there's a check in the mail for me and a person named "Derick" said that I needed to deposit the check. Which I did. Then he tells me that another check has been sent out to cover my expenses but the post office had intercepted it. He told me he had talked to the postal inspector claiming they were a legitimate company! But there's nothing legitimate about this company at all!! Now I'm $1,840 in the hole cause of this p.o.s.!
ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK The check is written on TD BANK in Philadelphia, PaName of company on the check is PROACTIVE EVENT MARKETING, INC I answered a job on CRAIGSLIST. It asked for person to text only. I did. They texted me back asking for my name and contact information, which I sent in a text. The person texting me said they will send me a check to be deposited in my bank account. I let them know I don't have a bank account and that I'd have to take it to AMSCOT. I texted them back saying I thought it was a SCAM and wasn't interested. They proceeded to send me a check PRIORITY MAIL anyway. And then texted me that when I received it to deposit money and keep $500.00 for myself and send a Kristen in O'Brien, Florida the rest. I received the check on November 14, 2015 via USPS. I was texted several times as to when I was going to cash it. I told them tomorrow November 15. At 11:18 am I was being texted asking if I had done it yet. I then looked up the check routing number and found out it was a sample check. I didn't take the check to amscot however I texted them "ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK" and said I tried to and that amscot threatened to call the cops on me. Then guess what .....these people never texted me back. Who sends someone a check for $2,000 and has little to know information on the person whom they're sending???? And has that much trust???
I was on craigslist looking for jobs when I came across this ad for a job advertising Rock Star Energy Drink. I read all the information and it seemed lagit till I saw that they wanted me ONLY TEXT this number. I went a head and text the number since I had a net10 phone and it couldnt mess anything up. This was the response that I received back:
Thanks for your response...ROCK STAR ENERGY DRINK will take full responsibility for placing and remove decal on your car and it will not resort to any damage, You will be getting paid 540 weekly via check without no disturbance or obstruction and Get back to me with your Name,address,city,state,zipcode,current occupation and Age to get started so your info can be forwarded and you can receive your first check this week and Do you have a back account. Waiting to hear back from you
I responded with I would rather come in person to a office before I would continue. With no response.
