Robins Chiropractic Reviews

  • Apr 23, 2016

My girlfriend injured her back and was in excruciating pain with what we have now learned was an inflamed disc. Also know in chiropractic as a "hot back". She, could not sit upright, roll over in bed, stand up, or walk, without a lot of pain.

Her regular chiropractic office was closed and we were desperate to find someone that could treat her and give her some relief and start the healing process.

We visited Robin's chiropractic in the morning as soon as she could get in.

She was seen by Dr. Jack Wise. Jack discussed her problem areas with her and began what we thought was a strange series of diagnostic methods. In nearly every area of her body EXCEPT the lower back where she described that she was having problems. Pretty much avoiding the problem area. He poked her in her lower abdomen, rubbed hard enough to cause much pain and some bruising in her shoulder. He made her tap the inside corner of her eyes. He rubbed her jaw and her foot. Pressed down on her arms and heels. He kept saying that she had inflammation of the bowels and a blockage, He touched her forehead and then told her that this pain and inflammation of her bowels must be a result of emotional trauma. (Is this guy for real? hello Miss Cleo!)

Dr. Jack Wise put heat on the back of her neck and then cracked her neck. Again with the pushing the arms down to check the muscle resistance.

He did nothing to address her inflamed disc in her back and provide her with even the slightest bit of relief from her pain.

We ended up reaching her chiropractor that afternoon as an emergency visit, within the visit to her REAL chiropractor, she had instant relief. She was not better but well on her way to healing.

So, doing some research on this technique Dr. Jack Wise used to "treat her" ( steal her money ), it seems Dr Jack uses Applied Kinesiology. ( a bunch of snake oil hocus pocus if you ask me. ) He never stated this up front. It did not help. He took her money $40 patient evaluation and $35 for the "treatment" (cough). She was not provided a receipt for the cash requested. Further, it seems that the state of Florida has Dr. Jack Wise license status as delinquent.

My girl friend is very upset that Dr. Jack Wise has swindled her with his snake oil. She placed a phone call to Robin's Chiropractic to discuss this with Bruce the owner. Of course Bruce tried to explain away the useless "treatment" and kept talking in circles over her on the phone. Not letting her speak. His attitude is that she received Dr. Jack Wise's method of "treatment" (which was not the chiropractic treatment she thought she would be getting). After hearing him rudely speaking over her on the phone I lost it a little bit and had a few choice words for him myself.

What a horrible way to treat people who are desperate and come to you in pain looking for relief.

Stay away. These guys are crooks. We will be filing a formal complaint with the state.
