These people have been calling me for a couple of months saying that they are collecting for a medical bill from when I got some medical services about 6 mos ago. I have been telling them I have Medicaid. I almost made a payment to them but I was like hold on let me check w/Medicaid. Of course Medicaid never answers so I called the hospital and we ended up talking about my bill which was of course paid in full by Medicaid. However, I called this company back to see how they knew my info & what authority they had to collect from me.
Of course they had no proof whatsoever. My Hospital never heard of them & told me that wasn't a company they use for collections. Scammers are getting more & more sophisticated because their every rebuttal sounded 'very, very' legit. I ended up saying I'm not paying them but the supervisor said she'd send it back to my hospital as disputed. I said, you do what you want but I'm not paying 'you'.

I've been paying RMP for a hospital bill for serveral months, $50 per month.
They said they send no statements or apply the montly payments to my balance.
I signed up for automatic withdrawal which started last month, but nothing so far from May.
I see on the internet that this is a SCAM. I'm afraid that all this money I paid is now gone. Are they a legitimate company?
