My husband and I wanted to buy a puppy for our kids for Xmas stumbled upon Riverside Pocket Beagles website. Emailed person through contact link, we were given a ton of info and website looked legit. We were advised to send payment for puppy via Western Union. Sent money to Michael Clarence in Virginia and a shipment date was decided. Long elaborate emails turned into 1-2 word emails. We were given excuses as to why we couldn’t get details for shipping arrangementa until the day before shipping. I sensed a scam so I had a friend inquire about the same dog we purchased and she was sent the same elaborate emails and was told our dog "Eddy” would be a great fit for her family.
The day before shipping we were sent an "insurance policy” to ship our pet we had to send an additional $960 that would supposedly be refunded after we got our pet. We didn’t send more money I emailed evidence that they were a scam and I haven’t heard from them since. They robbed us of $400 around Xmas time, these people are monsters. They claimed to be "god fearing” people. Do not send them anything, do not believe what they say. They’re liars and they will take your money and not even think twice about it. They run an elaborate scam don’t become a victim
Tried to purchase a puppy they conned for payment and offered free shipping-no immediate reports found on cursory web search. Took money then had pet travel company contact you for massive insurance-responded no & asked for money back - tried conning with more emails and texts from 804 472-8293 (text only not a normal cell) from a "Michael Clarence” in Richmond to McLean Va. Then poof they are gone with money or deposit or whatever they can get.
