Failed to institute prescription for new cpap per MD. Waited and did nothing to start process. My husband has been dependent on cpap for 10 years. His heater burned out, we went to major medical for replacement. Ricardo said we needed RX from our MD., which we got and gave to him. He told us he would contact us in 2 weeks.
Two weeks went by, nothing, then 3 weeks. My husband hasn't been able to rest at night, tired, falling asleep.congested. We finally called Ricardo back to find out why he had not contacted us. He did not even remember who my husband was or that we had given him the RX as required . He then said we had never purchased the original cpap from this facility because he couldn't find my husban in the computer. After considerable arguing with him, he finally found my husband in the customer files of his computer. It has now been 3 1/2 weeks without cpap therapy. My husban is diabetic, has atrial flutter/ fib., and is 82 years old. Then I ccalled my MD again, talked to his nurse and withinm 30 minutes, she had scheduled my husband for a sleep study again. If Ricardo had told us that to start with my husband would have his cpap by now. My husband's health is suffering because Ricardo failed to do his job.
On top of that, when we wen to see him the first time, he had a new cpap on the shelf but told us we had to wait for paper work. Besides that , he worked hard to get promoted to his current job position. He cared more about his importance than he cared to serve my husbands needs. I fully plan to seek legal charges against him if my husband has any further deterioation in his health. It is ridiculous that paper work takes predidence over heath of an individual. I hope Ricardo will be replaced because he certianly should not be in charge of anyones health needs! We now will have to wait again, after another sleep study on 11-28-2018 until the paper work clears and someone decides that yes this man needs a cpap. Your company name has been dragged thru the mud! Is there anything you can do to expidite this process. My husband is suffering needlessly because of this mans failure to do his job!
