I recieved my phone that was repaired by Phone Mate and after making a test call I noticed the phone went blank, this was due to a malfunctioning prximatey sensor. The first thng in the morning I contacted "Ash" the representative where he accused me of dropping the phone and thats why it does not work.
I took my nexus 6P here in order to get the screen and LCD repaired. Everything else in the phone was working fine as I had only bought it recently.
For the ridiculous price of $250, I would have expected a good quality repair, however the results were terrible. When I got home after the repair, I realized that the screen was coming off of the phone, and when I took it there to be checked, suddenly the whole "only 1 hour repair" promise was gone, with me having to plead for them to get my phone looked at by that evening, as I was in the middle of exam time and unable to come back to pick it up.
After waiting about three hours, my phone finally got looked at, and I was told that nothing could be done. Essentially, the repair technician (described by the other store workers themselves as flaky and unreliable), bent my phone's frame out of proportion and took no responsibility for it.
In trying to repair it, he also created a dent at the top of the phone.
I let this go, as I could see the store was not going to take responsibility, however I wish that was where the issue ended. My camera quality has also gone down significantly, I have /no/ idea what they did to my phone to destroy it like this. I know this because we have another nexus 6P at home and I have compared them side by side. The screen quality is also nowhere near as good, and my phone has been laggy and constantly restarting since I got it repaired. Not only that, but they destroyed my gyroscope, accelerometer, etc.! (Things they conveniently don't test as part of the phone testing form) They also spilled glue on my phone's speakers!! Something apparently not uncommon for this store, as it is mentioned in another review.
Less than a month after the repair, my phone's screen suddenly stopped working. I came to the store and, of course, their "1 hour repair" policy was once again forgotten as I had already paid them money and they no longer cared to invest in what was their responsibility. They told me to come pick the phone up the next day and that they would email when it was done being repaired, however they never emailed me and when I emailed them several times and used the online chat, I was completely ignored.
When I eventually came into the store on my own accord, they had bent the frame even more out of proportion, /and/ voided my warranty due to the small dent that had been created when the technician himself attended to repair his faulty work!! They showed me the issue with the original screen, which was that the wires had become untaped, something that a small dent in the phone would never have caused, and, even if it had, the dent was caused by the technician.
So basically, they destroyed my phone and voided their three month warranty based on their own error.
TL;DR: This company is absolutely ridiculous and out to scam you and take advantage of you, I would never ever return. Be prepared to spend absurd amounts of money to fix your device, only to have their cheap repair products break, and have them refuse to repair them under warranty based on something like a scratch or dent on the device, even if they made it.
