My family and I were on vacation in Tunisia visiting our relatives. We rented a car from Rental Ride Tunisia. We told the rental company that we would be there to collect the var at 4.30 pm (GMT +1). I wouldnt have minded 3o minutes late. But the car rental guy arrived with the car two and a half hours late which disrupted my agenda as I had a 4 hour drive from Tunis to get to Sfax. Another issue was the cleanliness. I was expecting a shiny new car. Or at least one that was clean. The car was covered (inside and out) with at least 3 layers of sand and dust. Not to mention the brown spots which I was afraid to touch all around the inner ceiling of the car. Also the next morning when I was unfolding the back seat of the car I found three rotten, mouldy sandwiches with worms crawling all around them on the floor of the backseat of the car. Whenever I drove I had to constantly keep refueling the car (more than other cars I have rented). At one of the gas stations the atendant who refuelled my car noticed the fuel leaking out of the fuel tank of the car as he pumped in more fuel. Luckily the attendant notified me and I called the car rental company. The representative from the car rental company was not useful as he did not give any useful suggestions on what I could do but instead he said that I might have broken the tank. This infuriated me at once. At least he could have given me suggestions on what to do. Another problem with the car was only noticed by one of my relatives. The back two tyres did not have a valve cap for the air holes and were both partially deflated. The reserve tyre given was also broken(there was a hole in it). The representative was also very ignorant. For a starter the case of the leaking fuel tank. His suggestion was to refuel only 20 or 30 Dinars(official currency of Tunisia). My first thought was what if we get stuck in the middle of nowhere with no fuel and no nearby gas stations. I basically paid 100% for a run down vehicle I could have gotten for cheaper elsewhere. I hope you do not fall for this scam with this company or any other company.
